BOLOGNA SKYLINE - Central, own park & garage, terrace, breathtaking view

Bologna Skyline, our beautiful, elegant, cozy 2-room apartment with a
special feeling to it, was designed to offer the tourist, the
corporate person, the family and whoever needs to be in Bologna for a
limited period of time a centrally-located accommodation at the top of
comfort, convenience and quality-price ratio. Completely refurbished
in May, our apartment is part of an elegant, modern residential
complex located in the Porta Mascarella-San Donato area, a central key
location to all spots in town - Piazza Maggiore, the Fairground, the
railroad station, the University, all reachable in a few minutes walk
with stores, shops, banks, restaurants, etc. surrounding. Connected to
the rest of the city by the very efficient Bologna public transport
system (city bus - stop right at the door), Bologna Skyline features
its own parking facility (underground garage) and a rather large,
totally accessible park and playground area in the back of the
complex. All the above make our apartment the ideal solution for small
families with children as well as those wiling to move around either
by bus or car.

Light-filled, extremely comfortable, perfectly functional and safe
with its sturdy anti-intrusion door, the apartment was renovated in
May. It is composed of one bedroom (two single beds that can be
assembled to make a queen size) with a desk and a chair, a large
living-dining room with a very comfortable queen-size foldup sofabed,
a fully-equipped kitchenette, a bathroom (shower) and an amazingly
beautiful furnished terrace with a breathtaking view over the roofs,
the towers and the hills of Bologna - the ideal spot for your alfresco
dining and relaxing, a wonderful feature that would make your stay an
unforgettable one.

A top-floor apartment, Bologna Skyline features absolute quiet in an
amazingly comfortable environment. Furniture and furnishing were
chosen with the utmost love and zest, mattresses and frames are new,
firm and great for your back, all linen (bathroom, bedroom, kitchen)
are top quality and provided at no extra charge. A washing machine, a
digital tv, an excellent heating system and all primary appliances are
provided together with free, 24/24, 7/7 wifi internet connection. The
apartment is air conditioned.

Given all the above, Bologna Skyline is without any doubt one of the
top accommodations in this beautiful capital of gourmet food, fashion
and fun - except for its prices, that are definitely below average in
its range. No reason to hesitate, look no further - book Bologna
Skyline now!

"My sons and I stayed here in July. Everything was exactly as
portrayed and we fell in love with Bologna, the apartment and
everything in the area. The train station and shops and the historic
center were all mere minutes away on foot. Everyone was friendly and
we hope to visit again. Thanks so much for such a beautiful and
comfortable apartment!" (Samantha M., USA)

"My wife and I stayed in Bologna Skyline for ten days in September and
found it to be very satisfactory indeed. We have rented a great many
apartments in Italy and most, (but not all), tend to be a little cold
and spartan. Bologna Skyline bucks that trend and feels like home,
with lots of thoughtful touches. It really does feel like someone
lives there, rather than a brief stop-off for tourists. It's located
on the 11th floor of a very well run block, with nicely tended
communal areas and very efficient elevators - so no access problems.
The views from the huge balcony are stunning. The apartment is divided
into three areas, a living space, bedroom and bathroom area. In the
bathroom there were toiletries provided, although we had no need to
use them. The living/dining area is quite spacious for two, it may get
a little crowded for four. Again, there was every conceivable creature
comfort in this room also. The internet wi-fi was fast and reliable
with no drop-outs or problems of any kind. Getting to the centre of
Bologna was very easy, with the main square being about a twenty
minute to half hour walk away. If you didn't want to walk, there a
plenty of buses that leave from the bottom of Via dell'Indipendenza.
This brings me on to another of the apartments strengths, access to
the main railway station. It looks easy enough on the map but if you
take the second right after Via Attilio Muggia, on to Via Barozzi
Iacopo, then you get a great short-cut right on to the platforms,
avoiding the busy Piazza in front of the station. There are just a
couple of things to bear in mind. While there is an excellent shutter
on the bedroom window, which will block out 100% of the light, there
is no door or curtain on the connection between the bedroom and living
room. So if the living room is light - so is the bedroom. Also, even
though the apartment is on the 11th floor, there is still quite a bit
of road noise from Viale Angelo Masini. This wasn't a problem for my
wife and I as we live in a city and we are accustomed to a little
traffic noise but may be a problem for light sleepers. In conclusion,
we really enjoyed our stay in Bologna Skyline and were made to feel
very welcome by Alessandro. When we return to Bologna, we will
definitely stay here again." (John S., UK)

"We hired the apartment as we were in Bologna on a business trip.
Great location, close to the Fair Grounds where the convention was
held. Beautiful, clean apartment and the views simply amazing.
Alessandro was such a helpful host." (Gamble K., UK)

"Très bel appartement, très confortable, très bien situé, surtout pour
le quartier étudiant où nous avons bénéficié de concerts tous les
soirs, voiture en sécurité au garage sous terrain, ponctualité et
simplicité d'accueil pour l'arrivée et le départ, et avantages du
onzième étage: pas de moustiques et moins de bruit!" (Corinne L., France)

"We had wonderful one week break in April at Bologna Skyline
apartments. It was the last stay during our Italian trip and to be
honest it was the best stay! Location is very good - about 7 minutes
walk from train station and about 10 minutes walk to city center.
Because it''s close by train station we could had some day trips to
other nice cities such Parma and Ravenna. Apartments are very safe,
nice with fully equipped kitchen, washing mashine, ironing board and
iron, cenralized air-conditioner wich works in winter as heating and
all things which are very useful for a short or long stay. There is
free wi-fi! Apartment has very nice and large balcony with wonderful
view. Alessandro and Maria met us in front of apartment area and gave
a lot of information about sightseeing, restaurants, supermarkets.
Alessandro gave us a map where were marked the best restaurants. At
the end of our stay I had some troubles with mobile phone and
Alessandro ordered for us a taxi to airport. Generally speaking
Alessandro is the best owner I met during my trips in Europe. For
vacation stay I prefer apartments and have sufficient experience with
apartment owners... I highly recommend Bologna Skyline for short or
long stay." (Nataliya P., Russia)

"Our stay in the apartment was a memorable one. The location,
cleanliness, everything you need in the apartment - everything is left
to chance, convenience, beautiful and pleasant appearance, attitude
and caring host - Alessandro safety were at a good deluxe hotel only
for a price several times smaller. Highly recommended to all to enjoy
your stay in this apartment. Many thanks to Alessandro." (Violetta L.,

"This is a great apartment! We stayed for a week and had a wonderful
time. The apartment is outfitted with everything one could need, and
it is extremely clean and well situated to central historic Bologna.
Alessandro is one of the best "landlords" we have had in our travels
in Europe - very helpful and informative right from the start. Loved
the welcome gifts! All the pictures are accurate, and as noted from
previous tenants, the terrace is a real bonus, even when it is cold.
If we ever have the chance to come back to Bologna, we would
definitely stay here again." (Laurie B., USA)

"L'appartement est parfaitement équipé, calme, sécurisé, proche du
centre historique et de la gare. L''accueil, à notre arrivée et durant
le séjour a été très chaleureux." (Patrick M., France)

"Tout a été parfait de l''accueil à l''appart'', très bien situé tant
pour rejoindre le centre ville à pied que pour aller visiter les
villes voisines 5parme, Modène, Ferrare) en train (gare très proche)."
(Nacéra B., France)

"Appartamento fantastico, in posizione strategica. Fermata del bus
praticamente sotto casa.
dire... ritorneremo!" (Matteo S., Italy)

"We enjoyed a beautiful stay in an excellently equipped centrally
located apartment (10 minutes walking distance from the central
station and 5 minutes from the main bus station). You find all things
in the appartment necessary for daily life. The owner was very
supportive providing any information on local circumstances we needed.
We would come back undoubtfully when being in town again. Thank you,
Alessandro!" (Edith & Nikolaus G., Switzerland)

"My husband and I arrived in Bologna and were warmly welcomed by the
hosts. The apartment had everything we needed, including guide books,
maps, a fully stocked kitchen, linens, comfy bed, hot shower.
Everything was clean, fresh, and in good working order. We loved the
extra touches such as the art on the walls, DVDs to watch, and
tea/coffee for the morning. It was winter so we didn't get to use the
huge balcony, unfortunately, but it looked wonderful. The central
location was convenient because it was close to downtown, the
university, bus station, train station, two grocery stores, and the
Fair District. We could walk to Piazza Maggiore in less than a half
hour, easily. We stayed a month and were sad to leave Skyline."
(Victoria K., USA)

"My husband and I very much enjoyed our 11-day stay in Bologna
Skyline—a cheery and comfortable place that lived up to both the
owner’s online description and the posted comments—and
compliments--from people who had stayed there before us. The location
really is great, the views really are sweeping, and the large terrace,
even in November, was a welcome feature. Alex and Maria Teresa were
most helpful; and we will most definitely see about renting their
apartment the next time we’re headed to Bologna." (Anne C., USA)

"Very nice apartment indeed. Great location near the railway station
and short walking distance from the historic center. 15 to 20 minutes
from the airport by taxi. Ideal for both work and holiday, because of
it''s central location. Nearest grocery shop just few hundred meters
across the street. Nice, clean and comfortable apartment. Secure and
relatively quiet surroundings. Fully fenced surroundings and 24 hour
security personel at the premises make it feel safe. Absolutely one of
the best apartments at this price level I ever rented in Bologna over
the years. Nothing fancy and flashy, but clean simple, easy and
practical. Will definately go back next year if this is still
available. The host was very kind and thoughtful. I arrived late in
the evening from a long journey and he had prepared some snacks and
refreshments for me so that I didn''t need to go out to find snacks
for that evening. A small detail, but a very nice gesture indeed. He
was also very helpful during my stay and helped us also with taxis
etc. He speaks fluent English which is a huge bonus if you don''t
speak Italian and if you have some issues to take care of during your
stay where you might need some assistace. This apartment is ideal for
a couple, but could also be used by a small family up to 4 person. One
bedroom for 2 and a sofa in the livingroom / kitchen area which I
believe could be turned into a bed for kids or perhaps to suit also
another couple, but as said this apartment is at it''s best for a
couple or a single traveller. Wifi internet connection was fast and
functioned well. Kitchen has all basic hardware needed to prepare
meals for yourself. Everything else is pretty much covered except for
the dishwasher. A nice bonus is a laundry washing machine in the
bathroom for longer stays. Bathroom and shower were immaculate clean
and spotless. The terrace was nice and comfortable place to enjoy
breakfast and evening coffee. Nice view over the city. There is two
good size elevators to take you up to the apartment so this is also
suitable for elderly and also to people with reduced mobility.
Definately recommend this apartment if you are searching for central
location and modern functional apartment in Bologna center." (Markus
R., Finland)

"I had a delightful stay at the flat and it was perfectly situated for
my needs. I was in town for business at the Bologna Fiere and was able
to walk to the grounds safely and quickly (under 15min). Alessandro
and his wife were amazingly kind and accommodating- even going so far
as to drop off a personal wifi usb when the apartment's internet went
down for building services. The apartment is clean and well appointed
with everything I could need or want and the markets near Piazza
Netuno are not far walking either. Some unexpected nice touches were
left for my stay including a delicious breakfast pastry & a bottle of
wine and water. I couldn't recommend Alessandro and the Skyline
apartment enough, just don't try to book during the last week of
September because I will be there... Hopefully." (Ryan F., USA)

"Our family of three had the chance to be the VERY FIRST guests of
this superb apartment in July, after it was refurbished.
Everything was obviously brand new and in perfect working order, wifi
internet connection included. The apartment was clean and extremely
quiet, beds were comfortable. Our child LOVED the playground
downstairs and spent a lot of time there. The apartment is located in
a very central area with the train station only 5 minutes walk, Piazza
Maggiore only a few minutes more. The greatest amenity, however, is
the terrace, which features a terrific view over the center of Bologna
and the hills (right), the valley with the railroad and the Fiera
District towers (left), with Romagna in the background. Besides this
wonderful landscape we enjoyed the terrace for our al fresco meals. We
particularly loved having candlelight dinner there as the night view
of Bologna from the terrace is extremely enticing and romantic. As for
the apartment is more spacious than what photos show, the
quality-price ratio is excellent and the owner - Alessandro - is a
very sweet and helpful guy. We definitely recommend this apartment to
all and will book it again for our next
visit to Bologna". (Ton B., The Netherlands)

"Alessandro's apartment is among the best rentals I stayed at in my
last 8 years of travelling to Bologna. Its location is fantastic and
the price-quality ratio excellent. Clean and welcoming, with a
terrific view of the hills. Lively area with plenty of stores,
convenient to the center (Piazza Maggiore is 20 minutes walk) and much
more. I recommend it highly". (Helen T., Boston, USA)

"Un appartamento pefetto, da ospiti ci siamo subito sentiti come a
casa nostra. Ottimo prezzo ed accoglienza calorosa, pulizia e
praticità in tutto. Assolutamente da raccomandare" (Piero S., Como, Italy)

"Hello from Hamburg. We stayed at Skyline for 2 weeks and loved it.
There was room enough for the 4 of us and the location is perfect to
visit the city with no hassle. Great supermarket about 200 mts., bus
stop across the street, very clean apartment." (The Suessmeyers, Germany)

"Probably my best rental by far. It is clean, spacious, well equipped
and stocked. Will definitely come back". (Klaus Z., Austria)

"Siamo stati presso questo appartamento in occasione del Motor Show,
per tre giorni. Comodissimo sia per la fiera che per il centro, che è
veramente a pochi passi. La casa è pulitissima e provvista di tutto,
il proprietario gentilissimo. Lo raccomandiamo al 100%" (Eugenio M., Roma)

"We stayed at this property for a week in June It is a very
pretty house, well stocked and perfectly furnished, with a lot of
light and room, clean and oddily quiet for such a central, busy
location. Alessandro, the owner, is an ecellent host and one of the
nicest person we met in Bologna. Good connections with the center and
the train station (not very convenient for the airport though).
Greatly priced for its quality" (Ernie Shoemaker, USA)

"Unless you have a specific desire to stay in the very center of
Bologna, which carries the disadvantages of noise and usually cramped
quarters, this spacious apartment is an ideal place for an extended
stay. The center can be reached on foot in 10 minutes, or there is
easy bus service in front of the house. The same comments apply for
the train station, which is not exactly in the center of town. That
train station is a major hub, which makes possible daytrips to
Ravenna, Ferrara, Parma, or even Venice. The apartment's location is
also particularly convenient if you need access to the Bologna
industrial fairgrounds--an even easier walk. The apartment is large
enough to feel like home, and it's easy to stock with supplies. A
reasonable supermarket is a two-block walk; an outstanding one (Co-op)
about half a kilometer. One of the nights that we were there, we found
we had a need for a quiet dinner for 5 people. A group of this size
would be a problem at most of the apartments we've stayed at around
the world, but the dining room at Bologna Skyline seats six
comfortably, and with the proximity of the Co-op it was easy to come
up with a gourmet menu and appropriate wines." (Dan M., NJ, USA)

"We rented this apartment and were pleased with our stay. The pictures
on the web page are accurate representations of the well-cared for
furniture and decor. The rooms are large, the kitchen is serviceable
and well-equipped to make some breakfast or other meals. A/C units
worked great to keep those rooms cool when we visited. The washer
worked well but allow for more time for a cycle to complete as
compared to here in the U.S. The mattresses on the beds were very
comfortable and there's plenty of space in the bedrooms to unpack your
clothes. For getting to the city center we just walked to Piazza
Maggiore and the Fountain of Neptune. A grocery store, Lidl, is a
short walk up the street on the left. Alessandro answered questions
promptly, and his wife was a pleasure to deal with, even though we
didn't speak Italian but she did speak great English. Bologna was an
enjoyable place to visit with many free museums to explore and
delicious food and gelato to enjoy!" (M & S, USA)

"The apartment was clean, airy, bright and just a hop, skip and a jump
from Centro Storico (the Medieval Center) and close to everything. All
the amenities worked well and Alessandro was very helpful as he spent
quite a bit of time explaining how things worked and places to see. He
also responded quickly to emails and met my brother and his wife early
as they had an overnight train. The apartment was even better than we
expected from the photos, very comfortable and quiet. We could easily
reach the downtown market for wonderful meat and vegetables and there
was a supermarket nearby. We would not hesitate to stay here again the
next time we are in Bologna. We loved it. It was wonderful value."
(Valerie M., USA)

"Hemos estado muy a gusto en Skyline, sus propietarios siempre han
sido muy atentos con nosotros. Han sido puntuales y muy serios. El
apartamento es amplio, estaba muy limpio, cerca del centro histórico,
bien comunicado, con un supermercado muy cerca y excelente acceso a
internet wi fi. Es una casa silenciosa, que nos ha permitido descansar
estupendamente. Todos los comentarios positivos que hemos leido sobre
este apartamento se ajustan a la realidad." (Cristina P., Spain)

"The apartment is really cosy, bright and clean, large enough for the
three of us and more, with a marvellous rooftop view from the terrace.
It is situated 5 min walk from the railway station, no more than 12-13
min to Piazza Maggiore and all the major monuments, that can be easily
reached through some minor, picturesque streets. There is also a bus
stop right in front of the house, so it took us only 4 min to get to
the Fiera District - we were on a business trip. Great & fun shopping
opportunities at the Saturday open-air market nearby. Car is not
necessary. Very helpful owner. Excellent price." (Tore O., Norway)

"We enjoyed our visit in Bologna and staying at Alessandro’s very
much. The apartment has a modern style with a marvellous terrace and
well-working appliances. The apartment is very quiet, clean and
situated right in the center of Bologna (train station - 3 min. walk!)
and it was possible to get to all points of interest by foot. In spite
of that we often used busses - we recommend the City Pass multiple
ticket. Alessandro was very gracious and provided important hints for
choosing restaurants and shops. To sum it up, a great place in a great
city at a great price too! Greetings from Germany! - Paul" (Paul M.,

"If possible, we would like to give this rental more than top score.
This apartment is a dream, it is clean, quiet, decorated with taste
and all appliances work absolutely perfect. We slept very well and had
a wonderful stay right in the middle and above the roofs of Bologna.
The terrace is superb, the view is breathtaking. There is a
supermarket nearby where you can find anything you need for cooking at
home, but there are also a couple of outstanding restaurants in the
area. Very, very convenient to the train and the bus station, no more
than 300 mts.. Great owner, excellent price and a FREE garage! We
would definitely stay there again." (Sam R., USA)

"My friends and I arrived in Bologna for a week and this apartment was
a great place to stay at. It had a great view and everything was very
clean. The owner even gave us a welcoming gift that was so nice on his
part. I enjoyed my time in Italy and this apartment made it easier for
us all." (Maria C., USA)

"I go to Bologna often and I should say this is truly a very nice
apartment. Its central location makes it ideal. Most attractions are
just a walk away with the station just 5 minutes. As you are high up
you feel in another world. The terrace is perfect for dining and the
view is astonishing. Your kind host supplies you with lots of
information on Bologna. Free garage, wifi, very good price." (Maria
G., Italy)

"The pictures accurately show the apartment - It is a studio with a
bedroom off to the side. The balcony is great with nice views of the
old city, and perfect for morning and evening meals. Alessandro was
quick to respond to emails and phone calls, even checking up with us
during our stay to ensure our comfort. He gave excellent
recommendations of things to do in the city and areas to explore. The
apartment is within walking distance to most attractions,
supermarkets, and very convenient to the train station. The apartment
contained everything we needed and was very well stocked with some
basic food preparations, laundry facilities, and bathroom needs. This
apartment may be a little tight for 4 adults, but for a couple or a
small family it should be just right. I look forward to being in
Bologna and at Skyline again in the near future." (Keith G., USA)
