Drive which features small “tacky” tourist places where hostesses try
to lure people in. Please remember that the real cool restaurants,
lounges and night clubs are on or near 23rd street. A few world class
places in the neighborhood are: Mr Chow at W (on 23rd Street), Living
Room at W (on 23rd Street), The Wall (on 23rd Street), Mokai (on 23rd
Street), Louis (on 23rd Street), Bliss SPA at W (on 23rd Street), Eden
(on 23rd Street), Sky Bar (on 20th Street), Mynt (on 20th Street),

You do not need a car in South Beach! But believe it or not here you
have one of the few places where you have FREE parking in South Beach.
Everywhere else in South Beach there is metered parking only in effect
from around 9:00 a.m. to 12 midnight. There are a couple of public
parking lots and some private lots within walking distance where there
is overnight parking for $8 per day. You can walk to most places and
cabs are all over. Public transportation is outside the door. Car
rental company and tourist office across is nearby.

South Beach Miami Beach is a barrier of islands surrounded by Biscayne
Bay on one side and Atlantic Ocean on the other side. Once upon a time
Miami Beach was a Coconut Plantation. John S. Collins bought the land
in the hope to build a nice beach resort. During the 20's - 50's South
Florida was a gambling and entertainment Mecca. The ban against
alcohol did not stop anybody. The buildings that today are called Art
Deco were build during the 1930-40's. During the second World War was
basically the whole island a military base for military training.
Since then Miami Beach has become a favorite for South Americans,
