BEDROOMS: Smoky Ridge includes 4 bedrooms on 3 levels for your
convenience and privacy.

The main living floor includes the master bedroom, a large room with
a king sized log bed and a private bath. This room offers beautiful
views and a private exit to the deck area, as well as a shower and
claw foot tub.

The second floor contains 2 bedrooms with a shared bath. The first
of these, nestled under high peaked rafters, offers a full bed and a
separate single daybed with a trundle. Children especially love this
room. The other bedroom on this level is furnished with a fluffy
queen sized bed.

The ground floor has its own efficiency apartment with a queen sized
bed, private bath, sitting area and dinette, as well as a small but
functional kitchen and a private deck.

LIVING AND KITCHEN

Our huge vaulted living room looks out over the mountain vista and
has a large rock fireplace that we often use even in the cool
mountain nights of summer. There is a flat screen satellite
television in this room, as well as many comfortable reading nooks.
The open living area also includes a dining and wetbar area furnished
in rustic antiques and hand made primitive furniture. The attached,
fully equipped granite kitchen is a cook's dream, with top of the
line stainless appliances and a famed Blue Star 6 burner gas range.
Bon appetite!

The deck area runs around 2/3 of the house and always overlooks
gorgeous views. A screened dining area adjoins the kitchen and
offers seating for 10 with a perfect view of the mountains.

Finally, our ground level inludes a phenonenal craftsman hand-trimmed
pool room, laundry room and a media room complete with a huge
lounging couch and satellite flat screen television for viewing and
gaming. (With the beautiful outdoors beckoning, you may not spend
too much time here, but it's nice to know you can.)

Where to start?

For the outdoorsman, this house offers miles of hiking and walking
immediately out of the front door. The most popular national park in
the country, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, is overlooked
from our decks and is entered from Maggie Valley. It offers
unlimited hiking (including the Appalachian Trail, of course), as
well as horseback riding, fishing, and incredible birding. The ski
area of Cataloochee is also in Maggie Valley. The views of the Blue
Ridge Parkway are beyond spectacular, and again Maggie Valley is your
key.

For those of you who live to golf, you are in a perfect place. We
are above the famous Maggie Valley Resort, which offers a 6500 yard,
18 hole course through unparalleled mountain scenery and is open to
the public. Nearby are the award winning courses of the Waynesville
Country Club and Laurel Ridge Country Club, as well as the famous
course at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville.

For the culture seeker, there are few places as satisfying as
Asheville and Waynesville. The Appalachians seem to attract artists,
and both art and music abound, both in modern guise and in the rich
history of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Asheville is renowned for its
perfect 1920s architecture, music and crafts. Waynesville hosts the
annual Folkmoot festival, attended by over 350 performers from around
the world. Its Main Street is a wonderful place to stroll and enjoy
art, music and food year around.
