Wilks St is a quiet cul de sac running off Mulgrave Road - the main
thoroughfare from the south. It is in the suburb of Bungalow which
is close to a major shopping centre (10 minutes walk to Stockland
Earlville) and the commercial heart of Cairns around Scott Street.

Wilks Holiday House has 4 bedrooms.

The main room is a spacious open plan sitting room with satellite TV,
dining area and kitchen. Airconditioning to all bedrooms and main
sitting/kitchen. The front of the house has a verandah and there is a
large covered patio with dining and BBQ behind the kitchen
over-looking the garden. A second comfy living room with stereo, TV
and DVD/video and games will keep the kids happy.

Cairns is the gateway to a huge area known as Tropical North
Queensland. It is quite unlike the rest of Australia because it is
an area of consistent and high rainfall during the summer months. It
is an area of mountains, rainforest, waterfalls, sugar cane farms
and the closest part of the mainland to the Great Barrier Reef. The
rainforest is the oldest on earth (138 million years) and is
designated a World Heritage area as is the Great Barrier Reef which
is the largest reef on earth (1500 miles long).Wilks house is a 5
minute drive to the beautiful Esplanade Lagoon and children's waterpark
The Botanical Gardens at Edge Hill are one of Cairns secret gems,
Trips to Port Douglas, skyrail to Kuranda, and visits to the Daintree
Rainforest are just a few of the many attractions of this beautiful
area of North Queensland. The House has a large number of brochures to
help you plan your day.



The weekly rate is A$1390. Less than a week is A$232 per night with a minimum of 4 nights. Periods longer than a month by negotiation. A cleaning deposit of $300 is required on booking which is refunded at the end of the stay if the house is left clean and tidy with no damages. Electricity allowance of $35 per week. Any excess to be paid for at supply rates from Ergon Energy.
