Zen Gardens is a well kept secret - an exclusive resort restricted
to only a few lucky owners. With 24 hour security, assured power and
water, swimming pool, soon to come restaurant. and close proximity
to the beach, it’s an ideal place to relax and unwind.

“KOH-I-NOOR" : The Apartment

“Koh-i-noor" is the apartment on offer, which has been lovingly
decorated by the owners. This is the first season it is on
offer to the public. True to it’s name, it is a jewel. In addition
to all that you expect in a holiday apartment, it
has a distinct character which has come alive through the carefully
selected, high end traditional Indian furniture (all the way from
Rajasthan),
lamps and attention to detail like natural blinds in place of
curtains. The wardrobe is a collectable and you'll love the hand
painted tables which have been selected for
the property. Lots of pretty photographs and memories are sure to
go back with you from your stay at this property.

“Koh-i-noor" is on the 1st floor and comprises a large living room,
spacious bedroom with a massive King size bed, big toilet cum shower
and a fully loaded kitchen with modcons that you would expect. The
living room has a unique low level sofa, which easily gets
converted into 2 single or one double bed for 2 additional adults.
This piece has been designed by the owner herself. There is
also a private balcony from the bedroom, facing the woods.


Zen Gardens : Some Details

‘Exclusive’, ‘beautifully landscaped’, ‘secure’ and ‘peaceful’. These
are the words that come to mind to describe Zen Gardens. A community
of a select few owners, this resort offers you many benefits. With a
beautiful raised private party place next to the pool, the pool
itself has a separate children’s area with steps that allow safe
access and exit. There is ample and secure car parking should you
decide to hire your own car to move about. Planned for the resort is
a restaurant, though there is a wide range of very nice food
available from both the beach shacks close by and the speciality
restaurants in the vicinity.

About South Goa and the surrounding areas

South Goa is emerging to be the preferred destination for travellers
who want quality time on their holiday. It offers a lot more
tranquil and laid back pace of life and most 5 star hotels and
resorts are located here and not in the very crowded and ‘touristy’
north. The more famous true Goan eateries like Martin’s corner are
also located in South Goa, just a short drive from Zen Gardens.

A short walk from here is the Benaulim beach, a welcome reprieve
from the overcrowded beaches of the North and yet it offers all that
you would expect: local shacks with yummy food, stalls to buy local
handicraft, beach activities on offer etc. Colva beach, which is
considered to be one of the active beaches of Goa is only a few
minutes drive away and is the ‘next’ beach from Zen Gardens.

If you are new to Goa, the apartment comes with a local contact, an
expert in the area who can guide you to activities of interest. You
will be given his mobile number for any queries.



 

     Amenities 


Specifics that you can expect:

• In addition to a large 1.5 ton Air Conditioner, there are
ceiling fans for a comfortable stay.

• There is a CD cum DVD player with a flat screen television
and a wide selection of DVDs (both English and Hindi if you fancy a
taste of Bollywood!) have been retained for your viewing pleasure.

• All plug points are universal ie you can plug in with any
type of plug without the need to carry along adapters.

• The kitchen has a dining table with 4 chairs and the usual
modcons you can expect (toaster, oven, kettle, microwave and a
fridge-freezer).

• Installed is a water purifier for safe drinking water and a
fridge-freezer.

• The cooking system installed by the owners is a hassle free
electric stove, rather than the more dated Gas cylinder system that
is in most Goa homes.

• An inverter in the apartment ensures you never go without
some electricity.

• Unusually for rental properties, we also provide a washing
machine to assist you with doing your own laundry during your stay!

• The balcony has a table and 2 chairs for you to enjoy the
natural bounty of Goa.


Some Additional Extras:

• Included in your price is a twice weekly (based on a 1 week
stay) cleaning service where the property will be cleaned throughout
and the bed linen and towels changed and laundered.
• You will be provided with a 24Hr emergency contact number of
a local English speaking representative that will be able to assist
you with any queries or issues.
• We are also able to provide you with a local mobile phone
that you can buy credit for and use to make both local and
international calls. International calls are much cheaper made from
Indian mobiles.
• You will find a custom made folder in the apartment, which
is most useful. It lays down the ‘house rules’ and of course loads
of useful local information!

Goa has beautifully demarcated seasons and our prices hence reflect that. Low Season: 1 May to Sep : £185pw (Rs 14,800) Main Season: 18 Sep to 18 Dec and 8 Jan to 30 Apr:£210 pw (Rs16,800) High Season: 18 Dec to 7 Jan: £275pw (Rs 22,000) Please note: • The prices are for 2 adults sharing. For each additional adult, there is a charge of £20 per person per week. • Minimum stay of 3 nights for the apartment. (3 nights will be charged at 60% of the weekly rate, 4 nights at 70%, 5 nights at 80% and 6 nights at 90%).
