Less than a two minute walk away is our communal swimming pool for
those who would prefer a cooling swim and the chance to make friends
with the neighbours.
A five minute walk from the villa takes you to the local convenience
store and local bars.

Even if you are not a golfer La Finca golf club, just across the
road from the urbanisation, is worth a visit. It’s very pleasant to
sit on the veranda of the club house with a drink and gaze across
the greens.
Other golf courses within a twenty minute drive are found at Villa
Martin,Campoamor and Las Ramblas.

There are many beaches stretching from north of Guardemar to the
south of Torrevieja. Our favourites are the Playa de Los Viveros,
Guardemar Playa Centro, Playa la Roqueta, La Zenia and La
Capitan but we keep finding new ones. Some are large wide beaches,
backed by sand dunes whilst other beaches are found in small coves.
The sea shallows gently on most beaches and bathing/swimming is
considered safe.

Shops, bars and restaurants can be found in the local villages
e.g. Algorfa, Montesinos, Rojales and Quesada. Just outside another
local village, Benijofar, a Sunday market is held, whilst a ten
minute drive to the town of Almoradi on a Saturday finds a street
market that fills most of the town’s centre. For regular shopping
try the Carrefour Hypermarket on the road into
Torrevieja - an experience in itself.

Torrevieja has a good range of shops and in the evenings there are
stalls on the seafront to catch your eye. There is a lively night
life here with tapas bars, restaurants and clubs. Close by the
marina a fun fair runs throughout the summer.

Guardemar, much smaller than Torrevieja has lovely parkland, both
formal and wild that backs onto the huge beach that stretches off in
both directions.
