Casa Mariana is a spacious, rural, self catering, self contained,
villa with a pool and large patio area. There is a lower terrace
under the shade of an ancient olive tree, a garden and a barbecue.
there are 3 bedrooms, one with a super kingsize four poster bed and
ensuite shower room. The other 2 bedrooms are twin bedded. One is
ensuite and one has its own bathroom across the hall. There is a
spacious, open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with air conditioning a
wood burning stove, 3 settees and satellite TV. Reiki attunement
holidays are available at certain times and Reiki treatments and

The villa sleeps 6 + cot and has a large patio with tables, chairs
and 4 sunbeds. The kitchen is well equipped and has a microwave and
fridge freezer. There is air conditioning in the lounge and a wood
burning stove plus heaters, for winter holidays. The bedrooms are
traditionally built and naturally cool but fans are provided. All
bed linen and indoor towels are provided and there is a welcome pack
on arrival. Solano is 5 km from the nearest town of Colmenar, a
traditional, white Spanish town but with many supermarkets, banks,
bars and restaurants. It is mainly Spanish but there are a few
Enlish and Dutch bar/restaurants. There are even places to dance at
the weekend and a frequent bus service to Malaga City. Car hire is
necessary if you want to go out of the area.



It is less than an hours drive to the beautiful city of Granada,
with the Alhambra Palace. In 40 minutes you can be in Malaga City
with its famous cathedral and Picasso Museum, also very good for
shopping and with great places to eat. The historic town of
Antequerra is a short drive to the North and about 30 minutes to the
East is Nerja with its lovely beaches and the famous Balcone de
Europa. You can head south to the coast of Torremolinos with its
charming chiringitas (beach cafes) and little shops and Benalmadena
which has a wonderful Marina. There is an Aqua Park in Torremolinos,
also a crocodile park, and Tivoli funfair. There are 3 nature
reserves in the area, Montes de Malaga, Torcal, and Fuente de Piedra
with its famous flamingo lake. Closer to home you can howl with the
wolves at Lobo Park or go boating on Vinuela Lake.
