sleep up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms, 2 are en suite and the third has
its own private shower, toilet and washing facilities next to the
bedroom. All bedrooms and the living area have air conditioning and

Exploring on Foot
It is easy walk around the old town of Narbonne, population 46,000.
It is an old Gallic town of Narbo founded in 600BC, the Romans
arrive in 118BC and renamed it Narbo Martius and was the capital of
the area in Roman times until Lyon became capital in the 2nd century
AD. For over 1000 years Narbonne was a sea port but the coast is now
12 km . It is a pleasant town with attractive squares plane tree
lined boulevards with shops and restaurants. The Midi Canal runs
through the centre and there is a famous indoor food market called
Le Halle in the Market Place. Boat rides can be had on the canal and
there is a market on Thursdays and Sunday Morning. The enormous
13th - 14th century Cathedral de St Just is actually only a fragment
of what was planned. The nearby Archbishops’ Place contains the
museums of archaeology and art of the life of the Roman period.
