Hidden away on the tranquil East End of Grand Cayman on a very large
lot which includes more than 200 feet of sandy beachfront, Windward
Cove is unrivaled in its privacy. Windward Cove in Gun Bay is also now
home to a brand new poolside cabana full bathroom to go along with our
large 12' x 25' oceanfront swimming pool and extended Trex deck area
(to see more about pool click the pool link on the left). Twenty miles
away from the hustle and crowds of the 7 Mile Beach corridor, yet near
to all you might need. Windward Cove is very close to Little Fosters
grocery store, east end gas station, Jacques Scott Liquor Store, fine
restaurants (Tukka, The Lighthouse, Over The Edge, Pelican's Reef, and
more), Dunkin' Donuts, and two of the top watersports operations
(diving, snorkeling, kitesurfing, etc) in Grand Cayman. The famed
Ocean Frontiers diving & watersports operation is less than a mile
down the road. The Rum Point Club, Botanical Gardens, and Blow Holes
are right nearby as well. You get to see and experience Grand Cayman
in glorious fashion.
The gated front courtyard area finds a myriad of flowering plants and
trees to greet your arrival. Our picnic table area sits in the lush
zoysia grass, amid the bougainvillea flowers and Christmas palms, and
is shaded by a large coconut palm throughout the day. One step through
the front door and you are greeted by the large open air great room
with vaulted whitewashed cedar ceilings. Four large bedrooms (2
oceanfront, 2 garden view) easily sleep eight adults. Each full
bathroom is equipped with a tub & shower, and there is a large half
bathroom off the great room. Our newest addition is the poolside
cabana full bathroom, connected to the pool deck area. A fully
equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, entertainment center, wireless
high speed internet access, (see amenities for full list) to serve all
your needs. Central air conditioning and eleven ceiling fans
(including one in every bedroom) help keep things cool should the
gentle ocean breezes not suffice. Four separate sets of disappearing
sliding glass doors make up the back wall of Windward Cove, and open
onto a 52' screened-in porch capturing the sunshine, tropical breezes
and views from three directions. It brings the whole outside in. Step
outside to an elevated Trex deck and you are greeted by a reef
protected lagoon that varies in depth from very shallow to 20+ feet
out to the reef. Follow the deck down past the pool to the side of
the house and you will find our brand new poolside cabana full
bathroom with a large shower. One step further to the left...the
Beach.
There's a reason we have so many beach pictures on our site. We have
an awesome beach! In fact, our problem is capturing how great this
property actually is on film. No angle shots necessary, and no need
for a short drive from your villa to a nice beach. Windward Cove
boasts over 200' of private deep sugar sand beachfront (no rocks or
ironshore), amid shady coconut palm and casuarina trees. You'll also
be able to stroll hundreds of yards of additional unpopulated
beachfront in either direction. The beach and water at Windward Cove
is ideal for all ages (from very young children to older adults) with
many shallow pool areas, and even more fun further out. Snorkeling the
many coral heads in the waters right out back is a favorite activity
for many of our guests, as is swimming in the calm reef protected
waters. It's basically all here. If a great beach and ocean
environment is important to your group then your vacation villa search
is basically over. You are looking at a hotel sized beach of the
highest quality at an ultra private villa. Welcome to paradise!

Attractions

For world class diving and snorkeling adventures in the East End of
Grand Cayman, visit Ocean Frontiers , they are located less than 1
mile from Windward Cove. Our personal favorite dive operation after
30 years of diving around the world.

Whether taking a trip with Ocean Frontiers or simply heading into
the ocean anywhere around the East End, this part of the island
provides some of the most vibrant snorkeling experiences in Grand
Cayman. Check out the sand holes and coral heads that populate the
waters in back of Windward Cove, or venture beyond into the many
other snorkeling areas that remain largely undiscovered by the
majority of people that come to this island.There are plenty of
places to explore just beyond our area as well. In additition,
everybody wants to see Stingray City at least once if they've never
been, and many go on every visit. We are currently working on a
snorkeling map of our favorite places here and the rest of the
island for our guests going forward.

If you find yourself longing for a larger, more diverse crowd than
the one you brought with you, head down to the Rum Point Club in
Cayman Kai. A bit over 10 miles away, Rum Point is run by the Hyatt,
and attracts locals and tourists alike. The beach is a somewhat
larger version of Windward Cove with casaurina trees, and a large
shallow area for fun in the water. Services there include a beach
bar and grill, bathroom & showers, activity rental (sailboats,
kayaks, jet skis, sting ray city trips, and more). Once again, we
highly recommend one or more trips to Rum Point, followed by a
return to your very own private version on the East End.

Nightlife is not the strong suit of the East End, but that's partly
the point. We do have many fine restuarants within a few miles, and
Portofinos, Vivine's Kitchen, and Arlaines are less than a mile
away. Go see the Barefoot Man right down the street at the Royal
Reef Restaurant, or live entertainment at Morritts Tortuga Club next
door. Listen, the reason you're here in the first place is because
it's not crowded and has the best natural habitats and beauty. Seven
Mile Beach is only 22 miles away and if you've never been we highly
recommend a visit at least once, but we also know how much more you
will appreciate Windward Cove upon your return.

We are aware that you have many choices for your Grand Cayman vacation villa,but feel Windward Cove with its huge sand beach and unmatched privacy will be a huge success going forward. We hope you come to appreciate this paradise as much as we do, and we look forward to helping you have the island experience you've always desired. Off-Peak April 1 - August 1 675/day - $4725/week (10% gov't occupancy taxes included) Peak December 15 - April 15 $825/night - $5775/week (all taxes & fees included) Monthly Rates $500/night - $625/night plus weekly maid service all rates include 10% government occupancy tax & after dreparture maid service A 50% deposit will be requested to confirm your booking, and the remaining balance due 45 days before arrival. *Above rates do not include the following (excess utility usage/damage/major cleaning), therefore a US$ deposit will be collected and all unused portions refunded within 45 days. In most instances a credit card deposit will suffice. Cancellations: All cancellation and/or reservation changes must be made in writing (email is permitted) to Windward Rentals LLC. Once your reservation has been confirmed, any cancellation will invoke the following cancellation policy: because island vacations are usually booked well in advance, there is often difficulty re-booking cancelled reservations. Because of this reality any cancellation notice received more than 60 days in advance will incur a 1-day rental fee penalty plus $100 booking and filing fees. Less than 60 days will incur a 2-day rental fee penalty plus $100 booking and filing fees. If we are able to re-book the cancelled dates, a full refund minus $100 booking and filing fees will be refunded. Monthly cancellation reservations: Monthly renters must cancel 120 days prior to check-in to avoid incurring a 2-day rental fee penalty plus $100 booking and filing fees.
