Confolens [about 1 hour's drive] is a beautiful old town on the river
to the east with lakes and quiet countryside. Limoges further to the
east a centr of porcelain production.
Bordeaux 90 minutes to the south is a bustling city where two major
rivers flow to the Atlantic..
