     Description 


Campbell cottage offers the very best in self catering accommodation
at Dollar, Clackmannanshire near Stirling.
The holiday cottage was built in the 1900s. and is close to the
center of the village with all the local shops ,restaurants and
hotels nearby.
Dollar is situated at the foot of the beautiful Ochil Hills and is
overlooked by Castle Campbell, built in 1514.
The cottage sleeps 4/5 adults in comfort - see below.



The cottage consists of a double room and a twin room or can be
arranged as two twin rooms, there is an enclosed kitchen and a
bathroom with overhead power shower. The dining/living area has a
fold down sofa bed if required.

The cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished to a high quality,
fully equipped with all the necessary implements, appliances and
utensils to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. It
is worth noting that the accommodation is all at the same level
which is particularly important to anyone with impaired mobility.

Dollar is ideally placed geographically. The Highlands, Loch Lomond,
Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth, St Andrews, The Trossachs, Glasgow and
Dunfermline are all less than one hour away by road. The nearest
town is historic Stirling, 20 minutes away by car. Motorway
connections are within 8 miles. There are a wide range of activities
within Dollar and in the surrounding area -Sightseeing, Golfing,
Fishing, Hill Walking, Cycling/Walking, Skiing, Paragliding,
Horseriding, Shopping and Mills.Castle Campbell overlooks the
village of Dollar and is reached by a scenic walk through Dollar
Glen.
Behind, are the Ochil Hills an area of natural beauty, ideal for
hill walking.

To the west of Dollar are the Ochil Mill Towns, strung out at the
foot of the hills. A few miles further on brings you to historic
Stirling with the Castle, The Wallace Monument and University.

The strategic key to Scotland at that time, Stirling was the scene
of decisive actions during the War of Independence, with its siege
