Description

In this 17 hectares farm the family raise an olive groove and a
vineyard, following biological agriculture methods.
Between 2002 and 2003, we renovated and enlarged the original
farmhouse, taking care to mantain the architectural style and the
building materials typical of this region: stone, wood, terracotta
tiles. So,in addition to the apartment where we live, we now have two
further apartments for our guests, each with an independent entrance
and a porch under which you can have meals or read a book.
The small apartment (50 sq. m.) consists of a kitchen/living-room with
fireplace and a double sofa bed, a double bedroom and a large
bathroom. Note that this apartment is also accessible to handicapped
persons.
This apartment can accommodate up to five people.
The farmhouse is surrounded by a wide garden that allows our guests to
enjoy peaceful hours, and children to play freely in a safe place.
There is an area equipped with a barbecue and picnic table. A ping
pong table is in the garden, near the swimming pool and another one is
covered, so it is possible to play when it’s bad weather.

The swimming pool is surrounded by shady trees and is located in a
quiet and secluded flower garden.
In the farmhouse there is a large room equipped with a gas stove and a
fire-wood oven, where it is possible to take cooking courses: you can
learn with us to make "fettuccine", "gnocchi", pizza and many other
Italian traditional recipes, and have a nice dinner with us.
For all those who are interested in craftsmanship, we organize courses
on how to make terracotta and pottery, as well as handloom-woven cloth.

Attractions

We can be found deep in the heart of green Umbria, nestled within the
rolling hills of the Orvieto region. This region is characterised by
small plots of olive groves and vineyards carved within oak woods,
which still dominate the landscape.
Our farmhouse is nestled within this majestic beauty, however we are
only 15 km from the A-1 freeway exit. We are also just 3 km from a
small village with a post office, an automated bank, a supermarket, a
pharmacy...
Frallarenza is 5 Km away from Ficulle, a medieval village well known
for traditional terracotta, and 15 Km from Orvieto.
At the border between Umbria, Toscana and Lazio, not far from highway
A1 freeway, Frallarenza is the ideal departure point to visit many art
towns and several little and less known villages which keep intact
their historical identity.
