Close to the second highest mountain in the Snowdonia range, and at
the foot of three mountain passes, Stable cottage overlooks the river
Dyfi with wonderful mountain and river views. Completely restored this
historic building was once part of the Buckley estate, and is
perfectly situated for guests to enjoy all the facilities of the
Snowdonia National Park, including mountain biking on the renowned
Coed Y Brenin trails, more leisurely trails along the beautiful
Mawddach estauary, walking, climbing, fishing, swimming and horse
riding. (Guests can enjoy six preserved steam railways running through
the mountains. The cottage comprises a very comfortable sitting room
with log burner, well fitted kitchen and dining room, seperate laundry
and boot room, two double bedrooms and a large bathroom with bath and
shower. The property also has the benefit of night storage heating.
Outside there is a lovely patio area with views right along the
valley, garden furniture and barbecue. Offroad parking is immediately
outside the cottage. Because of its popularity, early booking is
essential !

Most amenities are available in the area, with most of the major towns
being a short drive away. To drive through the mountains to them will
be part of the enjoyment of your holiday. The area abounds with
historic buildings, including stately homes and castles, some only to
locals !
The beautiful Cambrian coastline forms a wonderful drive where the
mountains come down to the sea. You will enjoy visiting our unspoiled
country pubs and restaurants where you can choose local ales and meals
to suit your taste and pocket.

This area of Wales abounds with industrial archeology as most of the
old steam railways once served slate mines, but have beautifully
restored as tourist attarctions. In two years time the Welsh Highland
railway which passes by Mount Snowdon will join up with the Festiniog
steam railway at Porthmadoc to become a unique attraction. Snowdon
itself boasts as Britain's only rack and pin railway ! (Guests are
this year being offered a 20% discount on the Fairbourne steam railway
which follows the Barmouth estuary. They then link up with a ferry, in
season, to get to this old dwardian town.)

Bookings can be for short three night breaks or complete weeks, and are priced according to season. All confirmed bookings will be given an authorisation number, after which we will post you a BOOKING FORM to complete, and returned with your deposit. All balances must be paid six weeks before your holiday commences.
