Set amongst fifteen acres in the ancient hills of Umbria, Le Favette
is a magical place to base a holiday. The property consists of a
farmhouse, where the owners live, the caretaker’s house, and the
rental property - a modern villa on two floors built in the
traditional Umbrian style.

Le Favette is a small farm with 400 olive trees, and an acre of vines.
The olive oil is exceptional, and chickens lay delicious eggs, and
many seasonal vegetables are grown. These can be picked straight from
the vegetable garden for your meals.

The farmhouse, where the owners live, lies down an avenue of cypresses
below the villa, and both properties have stunning views of the
beautiful medieval town of Todi.

The villa has a combined sitting and dining room, with an attractive
‘soppalco’ mezzanine floor with wrought iron staircase. Throughout
there is a tasteful blend of antique and modern furniture and
interesting art. The large sitting room is downstairs away from the
hub of the kitchen and it too has a fireplace.

With three double rooms the villa comfortably sleeps six. In the
kitchen you will find the full range of modern appliances the
enthusiastic cook expects.

The villa also features two bathrooms with showers. Water is solar
heated, backed up by gas. The washing machine and tumble dryer make
doing laundry simple.

There is a large portico for relaxing away from the midday sun, and
for al fresco dining and barbecuing. For those with excess energy to
burn off there is a folding table tennis table.

The Swimming Pool is a beautifully curved 14 X 6 metre pool, with a
straight swimming lane for serious swimmers. It has spacious,
attractive decking and is located below and well away from the main
farmhouse. A combination of dark grey liner, solar heating and
nighttime cover makes for a season from mid-May to mid-October. The
pool is landscaped with two ponds, which give endless entertainment of
their own.

The views around the pool are stunning, overlooking the Tiber valley
across to the hilltop town of Todi. The garden is delightful; it is
shaded in part by mature trees and can be lit at night for a swim or
barbecue party.

There is plenty of Wildlife as the ponds are a mini nature reserve and
a haven for frogs, dragon flies and fish. The gardens and rockeries
attract numerous butterflies and the interesting hummingbird

The birdlife includes goldfinches and magnificent hoopoes that nest on
the property. We have a pair of resident hares.

The kitchen has gas hob and electric hoven, microwave, fridge freezer,
and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Addtional ammenties are, broadband internet access, table tennis,
croquet, 3 golf holes where the keen golfer can hone his game! There
is a telescope to view our wonderfully clear night sky and board games
to fill any further idle moments.

We offer fresh eggs, tomatoes and other vegetables straight from the
vegetable garden. We have excellent Olio di Oliva Extra Vergene for
those that like this golden liquid.

For children we have cot and high chair , swings and a tree house.

From Roman buildings to Etruscan tombs, the evidence of Umbria's
ancient history is everywhere. Whether hidden down some secluded side
street or lining some grand public piazza, these and other gems are
likely to turn up on exploration of any Umbrian town or village. Of
the many medieval towns with in easy access, Assisi Italy's second
holiest city can not be missed. Montecastello di Vibio with its
smallest active theatre in the world, Todi, Montefalco, Perugia,
Orvieto, Spoleto to name but a few, any of which merit a day or half
day's exploration just to seep in the sites. So many delights are
present for the photographer or artist.
For the gourmet Nocia is a must, the home to Umbian hams and sausages.
Find time to explore the many attractive produce shops and to take
one's pick of the goodies.

For the lovers of wildlife both the ponds and the farm itself offer
much especially for children. There are many beautiful walks along the
Tiber valley and nearby hills without even taking your car. Rucksacs
or backpacks can be supplied.
