     Description

Nestled in the beautiful Wisconsin Northwoods, you can already hear
the loons, smell the fresh pine scented air, and see sparkles of sun
dance across the clean clear waters of beautiful Lake Thompson near
Rhinelander, Wisconsin.

A private two-bedroom unit at Breezy Point Resort (Unit #1), this
recently remodeled log cabin boasts a vaulted ceiling in the open
living room/kitchen area, a queen bed for mom and dad, and bunk beds
for the kids.

The cabin is located on a point on the sunny north shore of Lake
Thompson and faces west, so it receives full sun throughout the day
and treats you to spectacular sunsets in the evening.
Lake Thompson ranks as one of the top recreational lakes in northern
Wisconsin. Beneath the surface of its 411 acres roam excellent
panfish, walleye, bass, northern pike, and trophy muskie (DNR
surveys done in Spring netted a 27-inch walleye and a 47-inch
muskie, so the big ones are out there!).

Fishing is just a small part of the lakes allure. Every summer,
loons, eagles, ducks, and osprey take up residence and provide an
exceptional atmosphere. Several public islands wait to be explored
and water sports such as skiing and tubing can be enjoyed near the
resort.

Ample docking space is available for boats of all sizes. Our docks
are also popular with our younger guests as many fish can be caught
right off the piers. A fire pit is located near the cabin for
enjoying the lakeside in the evening. Other activities/amenities to
be enjoyed onsite or nearby include: horseshoes, basketball court,
swing set, bike trails, horseback riding, hiking trails, dining, and
much more.

Breezy Point Unit #1 provides guests with: fresh bed linens, fully
equipped kitchen including, pots, pans, coffeemaker and filters,
microwave, toaster, silverware, and dinnerware. Outside there is a
charcoal grill, picnic table, lawn chairs and an aluminum boat
(motors available for rent).

Some items you will need to bring with you are: bath towels,
toiletries, sun block, fan(s), cell phone, radio and consumables
such as charcoal, food, and drinks.

     Attractions

Rhinelander is vibrant small town with lots to do. The downtown has
quaint shops, good restaurants, and other activities. Hike or
bicycle the numerous nature trails winding through the majestic
Northwoods. Take your golf clubs and enjoy the public golf courses.
View the spectacular fall bird migration at the 3000-acre Thunder
Marsh Wildlife Area. The marsh offers a rare opportunity to observe
spruce and tamarack forest birds, as well as many other species of
marsh birds and waterfowl.

Explore Rhinelander's historical sites. The focal point of the
historic downtown area is the Oneida County Courthouse, listed on
the National Register of Historic Places, featuring striking murals
depicting life in the pioneer days and Tiffany glass windows on the
dome.

The Rhinelander Historical Society Museum reflects family life from
turn-of-the-century to the present. The Logging Museum Complex is
Wisconsin's most complete logging museum with exhibits dating back
to the 1870's. Train enthusiasts will love the Railroad Museum with
railroad articles dating as far back as 1892 and exhibits such as a
model railroad, depot and agent-clerk-telegrapher room.
No matter what you do……………

Sit Back, Relax, Recharge, and enjoy Breezy Point !
