The largest vacation home in the downtown area, Capitol Casa is
located on a quiet residential street close to everything.
Accommodating up to 15, with 3 full bathrooms and a hot tub in a
private garden, this vacation rental house makes a Santa Fe vacation
easy and fun for families and groups. Flexible rates enable small or
large groups to stay in this perfect location. This historic adobe
hose was featured in the May 2006 issue of Old House Journal!

You'll love walking 2 blocks down Old Santa Fe Trail to the historic
Plaza; or over to Canyon Road; or strolling to museums, galleries,
restaurants, sightseeing, shopping, grocery store. Skiing is 1/2 hour
up the mountain, or take the kids to the playgrounds down the street.
Come home and relax in the bubbling hot tub before you gather for
drinks on the big breezy front porch. Then walk to dinner at one of
Santa Fe's many fine restaurants.

Built in the 1920's, the carefully updated adobe house is beautifully
furnished with a tasteful mix of neat antiques, plush sofas and firm
beds. Original art by New Mexico artists and Southwest artifacts are
on display, and richly colored Oriental rugs brighten the oak floors
throughout. Fine cotton sheets, thick towels, robes, down pillows and
duvets will give you a luxurious experience.

You will be welcomed with fresh flowers, and the house is
thoughtfully stocked to make your stay pleasant, including two
stereos, three cable TV's, and a video collection of movies made in
Santa Fe. Free wi-fi. Sundries such as laundry soap and lotion are
supplied. The hot tub has a hydraulic cover lifter for easy access.

Capitol Casa is more than 2,000 square feet, plus the big front porch
with old-fashioned glider, antique bench, and vintage patio chairs.
The garden patio has plenty of seating, dining table, gas and
charcoal grills, and view to the mountains. A spacious bedroom/den
with game table, desk, TV/DVD/VCR/stereo is downstairs, nicely
separated from the upstairs bedrooms, along with a den with queen
sleeper. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, new
appliances, china and flatware for 15, plus the original high-backed
sink and pine cabinets.

Carport and off-street parking for 2 cars onsite, more nearby. In the
next block are playgrounds with multiple play structures and
basketball hoops.



Spring - (March 1 - April 30) $2,550 week. $425/night, 4 night minimum. High Season - (May 1 - October 31) $2,700 week. $450/night, 5 night minimum. Fall - (November 1 - December 18) $2,400 week. $400/night, 3 night minimum. Winter - (January 5 - February 28) $2,400 week. $400/night, 3 night minimum. Shorter bookings accepted for infill, and within 1 month of arrival. Holiday weeks: $3,500 week. Thanksgiving Christmas & New Year Holiday weeks are already booked. Exit Clean: $150 for up to 6 people, $200 for large groups of 7 or more. More frequent maid service is available by prior arrangement. Weekly cleaning at $150 required for multi-week stays. Damage deposit: $500. Fully refundable unless there is damage, extra cleaning costs above $150/$200, or phone charges. It will be returned in approximately 3-4 weeks, allowing time for the phone bill to arrive. NO TAX--there are no additional fees. We are not required to charge lodging tax since we have fewer than three rental properties. If that changes, tax will be added. Reservation Deposit of one-half the rent is due 7 days after verbal reservation, along with the signed contract which we will send as a pdf file you once you make your reservation. Balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. We accept checks or money orders. Cancellations: Confirmed reservations are considered binding. If we are able to rebook the space at the same rate, we will give a full refund less a $50 administration fee. This house has the proper zoning for unlimited short term rentals.
