The bedroom is furnished with a Queen bed and the front room is host
to a day bed, with a trundle bed tucked underneath. There is a full
Country Kitchen; full size stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot,
and all the basic kitchen needs. A nice Country Bath with tub/shower,
a Rustic Front room with a wood burning stove. All the basic linen
items are provided.
The Cottage kitchen is Self-Catered.
You will find it stocked with the essential kitchen items; as well as
coffee, hot chocolate, teas, hot cereals, pancake mix and the basic
cooking spices.
Situated just off the main Farm House, overlooking the south pasture,
the Cottage offers the quiet of the country. The Sumas River flows to
the south and a seasonal pond is to the West. There is no TV or Phone
provided. Just the peaceful chirping of birds, an occasional deer
wandering by, and the pleasurable sound of the farm animals.
You will find the hammock a wonderful place to read your favorite
book, surrounded by the trees and serene country side. Or enjoy a game
of bocce ball, horseshoes, or croquet. You are welcome to wander the
farm at your leisure; sample any of the fruits or vegetables from the
gardens or just enjoy the backdrop of flowers.
During the spring and summer there is always something going on;
planting of gardens, adding onto the farm yard, working in the
greenhouse, harvesting, canning, and tending the farm. Throughout the
season there are blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and grapes, as
well as plums, cherry, apple, pear, walnut and hazelnuts for the
picking. We are always adding new varieties of fruits, vegetables and
flowers. For 2008 we will be adding sweet corn, strawberries, a
pumpkin patch and a large selection of new flowers.
