Located on the greenbelt in lower Ekahi Village...
Our condo is the upper right corner unit in the picture. Because
we're on the second floor, we've got really nice ocean and greenbelt
views. It's a short 2 minute walk down the greenbelt to the beach.
So close to the beach ...
If you stand a few feet in front of the palms in the previous photo
and look down the greenbelt, this is the view of the ocean and the
oceanfront pool that you see.
Oceanfront Pool ...
Ekahi's ocean front pool has been newly resurfaced with lovely stone.
The pool is heated and a favorite spot for children and adults. Views
here are breathtaking and range from the West Maui Mountains, south
past the islands of Lanai and Kahoolawe and even a favorite
snorkeling destination - Molokini. The pavilion at the ocean front
pool offers shade, tables and easy chairs, ice and water, even a full
kitchen and bath/shower/dressing rooms. A shuffle board court is
adjacent. A private gate leads down to Wailea's Keawakapu Beach and
the famous Wailea ocean front board walk. Two other pools and paddle
tennis are less than one minute away.
The view from the living room and the living room lanai. Note that
the ocean is much closer than it appears in the photo- it's hard to
capture.
We love this lanai. Our guests say they could sit here all day
watching the water for whales, or the boats at Molokini, enjoying the
tropical flowers and flow of people up and down the green belt and
getting to know the birds that come to visit. There are Hawaiian bird
and flower books in the condo to help you in your quest.
This is the view from the living room and the living room lanai as it
appears to the naked eye. The ocean is very close to the condo.
Our living room is furnished with a queen sleeper sofa and opens onto
the dining lanai and shares its sweeping ocean views. The custom
designed Teak storage unit houses a 36" TV/DVD/VCR and Stereo as well
as a desk. The cabinets below have a printer/scanner/copier, filing
cabinets and more storage for your things. McGregor easy chairs in
tropical fabric with indonesian metal drum table between and often-
used footstools are hidden under the sofa table for TV or reading
time.
Complemementary RoadRunner high speed internet access, a printer/fax
machine, answering machine, cordless phone and a digital wall safe
are also available in the unit.
The closet is stocked with plenty of board games and a deck of cards.
There are also many books left behind by both us and our past guests.
The dining room is a wonderful space with a good ocean view. The
breakfast bar that separates the dining area from the kitchen makes a
great serving table. We have a great wine rack hidden in it, too.
Another view of the dining area which features cross ventilation and
special lighting. The 60" hawaiian quilt is framed in Koa and is
spectacular. The table seats 6 easily in large chairs with arms. We
love the chinese "fish bowl" used to support the glass top.
With room for two, our completely reconfigured kitchen not only has
more space, it has great appliances, is well-equipped, outfitted with
many extras, and has a ceiling fan and great cross-ventillation.
The view from the kitchen sink includes Haleakala via the green belt
across the dining lanai and straight down the greenbelt to the ocean,
Molikini, and Kahulahwe. The electric grill is easily accessible via
the door to the dining lanai. A subzero refrigerator, new Bosch
dishwasher, water purification system and more.
Our teak plantation shutters are wonderful and everywhere. This is a
view from the dining room/living area of our entry hall with second
bath and dressing area opening to right and master bedroom at the end
of the hall. The entry table has drawers for your keys and receipts.
A swinging screen adds privacy to the second dressing area if needed.
The Master bedroom boasts a California King bed, a fluffy down
comforter, and incredibly soft linens. There is also a custom,
oversize teak dresser and end tables that offer lots of extra
storage. The antique red chinese armoire hides linens and books. Good
reading lights, cross ventilation, a ceiling fan and coffered ceiling
complete the space.
The Master bedroom lanai is perfect for morning sun and views up the
private green belt to Haleakala. Sun, shadows and clouds play on
Haleakala to my never ending delight. I have a lounge chair here as
it is a wonderful private spot for reading.
The Master bath offers a large, divided closet - well planned for all
your needs, and large vanity with medicine cabinet and full mirrors.
The walk-in shower and toilet enclosure (out of photo on left) shares
the wonderful sea blue/green tile floor. This shower has Corian walls
and high louvers opening to allow palm fronds to become a part of
your shower.
The second bath has a new teak and corian vanity, walk in shower with
warm yellow tile and large closet and dressing area. A swinging
screen provides privacy for dressing room use.
Our floorplan gives a good feel for the wonderful space and privacy
this one bedroom, 2 bath condo with 2 lanais affords.
A gate offers private access to Keawakapu Beach from the ocean front
pool. The beach is wonderful for walking, running, digging, or
sunning. The soft white sand goes well out into the ocean making for
easy access to our normally gentle ocean. Good snorkeling and a tide
pool are also found here. Walk to the north nearly a mile and treat
yourself to brunch at the 5 Palms.
Walk about 20 yards south on the beach and you'll come to the
entrance of Wailea's famous ocean front walk. A favorite spot for
morning walkers, this paved path wanders the length of Wailea for 1.5
miles between the ocean and the ocean front resorts. Many of the
Hotels offer beach activities (ocean kayaking, surf board lessons,
massages, etc) and wonderful restaurants.
