Our living room is furnished with a sleeper sofa, a brand new flat
panel TV, and two comfortable dark brown leather chairs. We have a
DVD player and a few movies for relaxing after a day at the beach.
There is also a stereo with a CD player, and a place to hook up your
MP3 player, so bring your CDs or iPod along...
The closet is stocked with plenty of board games and a deck of cards.
There are also many books left behind by both us and our past guests.
Our dining table has 4 chairs, but if you have more than 4 in your
party, you can bring in the chairs from the Master Bedroom and the
table will seat 6 comfortably.
There is also a teak dining table on the lanai with 6 chairs. Dave
loves to BBQ so we spend many evenings dining on the lanai and
watching the spectacular sunsets.
We've done a complete kitchen remodel and added solid wood cabinets,
granite countertops with decorative tile backspashes, a new sink and
faucet, and new stainless appliances (dishwasher, stove, refrigerator
and microwave). The large refrigerator and professional grade stove
have really made a difference to us as we LOVE to cook. The kitchen
is even stocked with lots of spices, so you don't have to buy a whole
jar of spices just to add a little oregano or garlic salt to your
pasta.
The kitchen is fully furnished with new dishes, a nice set of hard-
iononized pots and pans, coffee maker, rice cooker, blender, toaster,
crock pot, henckel knives, bakeware, etc. Since we have a small
child, we eat most of our dinners at home on our lanai, so the
kitchen upgrade is our favorite.
While facing the kitchen sink, you have a view of the ocean - nice
view as you're preparing dinner!
Our Master Bedroom has a brand new California King mattress and new
teak bedroom furniture. The sheets are 500 threadcount Pima cotton,
and there is a fluffy white down comforter on the bed.....not that
you need a down comforter in Maui, but it's wonderfully soft and
looks great on the bed! Very very comfortable! In fact, one of our
guests commented that the bed was so comfortable that they often
overslept, and another asked us what brand the mattress was so that
they could purchase the same bed for their home!
We have also remodeled the Master Bathroom. We've installed installed
new cabinets, granite countertops with travertine backspashes, as
well as new sinks and faucets. New wrap-around full height mirrors
have also been installed.
There are lots of new fluffy towels, and a hair dryer is provided in
each bathroom so no need to pack one!
There is a kitchenette off the Master bedroom with a small
refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, and an extra set of dishes. This
is nice if there are people using the sleeper sofa in the living room-
you can wake up, brew your coffee and walk out to the lanai off the
Master Bedroom without having to walk to the Kitchen and disturb
others in your party.
...A Second Master or Room for the Kids
The Second bedroom has a brand new queen-sized bed and also a twin-
sized daybed, which our 3-year old loves! The bedroom furniture is
also new and is a dark seagrass. There are also 500 count Pima cotton
sheets for this bedroom and another fluffy down comforter for the
bed. There is a chair for reading, and a TV with a DVD player for
this room.
In the Second Bathroom we've also installed installed new cabinets,
granite countertops with travertine backspashes, as well as new sinks
and faucets. New wrap-around full height mirrors have also been
installed. There is a walk-in shower and also a separate bathtub in
this bathroom.
You Don't Have to Buy It or Pack It!
In the Lanai closet we've provided beach chairs and beach towels, a
cooler, and other supplies for a fun-filled day at the beach or pool.
There is also a washer and dryer for your convenience. We even
provide your laundry detergent!
Don't forget to catch sunrise at Haleakala, just breath-taking. But
the cold and wind are just as breath-taking so we've provided some
coats, gloves, and hats (believe us, you'll need them!) so you don't
have to pack your own. Go the first day before you switch over to
Hawaii time as you need to leave by 3AM to make it in time!
And the icing on the cake.....spectacular sunsets! They are different
every evening and nothing short of spectacular. There isn't a better
way to end your fun-filled day than with a cold drink watching the
sun disappear over the Pacific from the lanai.
We invite you to be our guest and share our lovely piece of paradise
with us!
