Located on the North shore in Hamilton Parish, the cottage is a
historically listed seaside cottage dating back to the mid 1700's.
This pretty little cottage is perched at the waters edge,
overlooking Bailey's Bay and Bay Island. The cottage has been
lovingly restored and includes modern conveniences necessary for a
comfortable stay. Never mind that the floors are a little uneven and
tend to creak, that only adds to the charm of the place. There is a
full bath, standard kitchen, air conditioning, private phone line
for local and phone card calls, cable television, iron and ironing
board. In the kitchen we have a microwave, coffee maker, toaster,
fridge and stove. In the garden there is a barbecue. Maid service
and linen changes will be provided once per week for stays of 7 days
or longer. The cottage is the perfect getaway for up to four guests,
with 2 bedrooms each with a double bed. The stairs leading to the
downstairs bedroom are very steep and care needs to be taken when
using them. The cottage is on the bus route approximately half way
between the Old Town of St. George's and the capital, Hamilton.
There is a grocery store and a Laundromat located within a mile.
There are fine and casual dining establishments nearby such as the
renowned Tom Moore's Tavern, Landfall Restaurant and the Swizzle Inn
for drinks and casual dining. Snorkeling, scuba diving and moped
rentals are only five minutes away. We are also very close to the
Crystal Caves and the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo. Enjoy a morning
coffee or evening cocktails on the porch watching for juvenile green
sea turtles feeding on the sea grass beds. Or perhaps a family of
brightly coloured Parrot Fish will show up to graze along the
shoreline. Make time to swim in the bay. There is access to the
water from the house and it's a great place to swim. One can walk
along the rocky and uneven shoreline, or simply stroll down the road
to Shelley Bay Beach. We so look forward to seeing you at our pretty
seaside cottage!
