When you first enter your chalet, you will be warmly greeted by the 
stunning living room with 20 foot cathedral ceilings, gas stone 
fireplace, beautiful tapestry, luxurious comfortable couches, elegant 
furnishings and flat screen TV with built-in DVD/VCR for easy use.  
There’s even an extensive video library for your selection.  

Just upstairs to the loft above, you’ll find your tastefully 
decorated romantic master bedroom with a top-of-the-line ultra 
comfortable king size bed.  Luxuriate in the smooth 400 count cotton 
sheets, the butter soft blanket and even the velvety micro-plush 
fiber mattress pad.  Located on the third level, your window is a 
bird’s eye view of the delightful lawn and forest below.  There’s 
even a TV/VCR for bedtime. You have ample closet space with two walk-
in closets.  A tasteful bathroom featuring a skylight above your 
jetted Jacuzzi shower/tub and sumptuously thick cotton towels 
complete the master suite.  Oh, don’t you love to be spoiled!


The classy gourmet kitchen has tile counters, an island prep area 
with eating bar and stools for lookers-on, wood flooring and new 
appliances including a gas range/oven.  Don’t you just love cooking 
with gas!  This cook’s kitchen is set up with everything you need for 
preparing meals at 
home. The knives are sharp, there’s plenty of preparation space, 
there’s a multitude of pots, pans, bake dishes, cookie sheets, cake 
pans, pizza pan, muffin pan, hand mixer, toaster, blender, waffle 
iron, coffeemaker and even a coffee grinder for your freshly brewed 
coffee.  There’s an assortment of basic spices and plenty of storage 
space for your groceries.  Serve your meals in the sunroom on 
cheerful hand-painted plates and quality silverware.    

Downstairs from the living room are the guest quarters.  This area 
features a quality queen bed where you can recline while watching 
your flat screen TV with built-in DVD/VCR.  The window looks out to 
the side yard and the trees beyond.  The private guest bathroom is 
delightfully decorated, has a full tub and shower, and of course, 
wonderfully soft towels.  
 
For additional sleeping, the sunroom has a new queen sleeper sofa 
that's comfortable and even has a back rest adjustment to recline.  
What a great setting to sleep in!  Watch the stars from the windows 
and skylights that surround you.  There's also a twin air bed.
 

DREAM Chalet is an exquisite 3 story cedar chalet found at the edge 
of a 33 acre old growth woodlands forest. It’s located at the south 
edge of Asheville in a small community of chalet homes. It has 
central heat and air conditioning, a phone for local calls, and Cable 
TV.  It is freshly painted and remodeled throughout with new 
furniture and elegant furnishings. There’s a full size washer and 
dryer for your use.  We’ve even included some fun board games, jigsaw 
puzzles and don’t forget the extensive video library for your 
entertainment!

In Western North Carolina you’ll find an eclectic group of people 
from movie stars to mountain folk.  And our town is as diverse as its 
residents. Our area is the back drop to many movies over the years…
our favorite is The Last of the Mohicans staring Daniel Day-Lewis 
with the famous waterfall scene filmed at our local Chimney Rock.p

What we love about these Appalachian Mountains is its wealth of 
activities. We experience a gentle four seasons here that makes any 
time of year perfect for a visit. If you love to shop for the 
unusual, there are fantastic antique stores, numerous galleries, 
unique boutique shops, and amazing handcrafted goods. This region is 
host to numerous festivals filled with music, dance, arts and 
crafts.  There are family events, live theater, concerts, cinemas and 
museums.  For golfers, there are numerous courses. There’s skiing, 
hiking, white water rafting, miniature golf, fishing, wildlife 
viewing, rock climbing, you name it!  Check out the new Fun Depot for 
a wealth of indoor fun. p

When George Vanderbilt had all the world to select a site for his 
home in the 1890’s, he choose Asheville to built his 250 room French 
Chateau.  Famous for being the largest private residence in the 
United States, you can spend a full day wandering through the 
mansion, its grounds, greenhouses, winery, restaurants and shops.  
Just outside the gates of the Biltmore House is Biltmore Village.  
These quaint buildings and streets have enchanting shops and 
restaurants to delight you.  Our favorite is The New Morning 
Gallery/Bellagio, the largest handcrafted gallery in the Eastern 
United States. p

Other famous places to explore include the Grove Park Inn with it’s 
new world renowned underground spa, the famous poet Carl Sandburg’s 
home, the North Carolina Arboretum, Chimney Rock Park, Lake Lure, 
Grandfather Mountain, The Cove - Billy Graham’s headquarters, The 
Nature Center, and much, much more. p

Sightseeing along the Blue Ridge Parkway is outstanding with many 
hiking trails and waterfalls along the way.  One direction you’ll 
find Mount Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi, and 
the other direction is Mount Pisgah. Both areas offer a delightful 
restaurant with extreme views!  And between stops, you can shop for 
amazing local hand crafted goods at the Folk Art Center and learn 
about our mountain heritage.  There are nature walks and hiking 
almost everywhere you go including the Mountain-To-Sea Trail. p

These ancient Appalachian Mountains is home to mountain music and 
dancing.  Several times a week you can test your dancing shoes at 
Contra Dancing with live upbeat Celtic music.  Arrive half an hour 
early and someone will teach you the easy steps. Just pick up the 
local Mountain Express free weekly paper which lists 100’s of events 
happening every week.  Or look at the Citizen Times Friday issue of 
Take Five for their listing of what’s happening. p  

Nearby, Black Mountain is a quaint town full of unique shops or you 
can visit Hot Springs and sit in the outdoor spas filled with the hot 
underground water.  This is the first stop for hikers who begin 
hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia.  It’s fun to learn their 
trail names and hear about their adventures.  You can make a day trip 
to Lake Fontana (where they filmed the movie Nell with Jody Foster) 
and visit the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest of astoundingly huge 
ancient old growth trees.  Or take a trip over to Cherokee and play 
at Harrah’s Casino. p

We promise that you won’t be bored!  When you’re exhausted after a 
day’s exploring, know that you can come home to a hot tub, massage 
chair, and rest in your comfy king size bed!  Just let us know when 
you plan to come and we’ll have your cedar chalet ready for you!
