Benson Lake is connected to 6 lakes without going through the locks.
Its a quick boat ride to the town of Chaffey's Lock, Newboro, and
Westport through Newboro Lock. There are private trails through the
woods on the property for your hiking, mountain biking, or 4-
wheeling enjoyment. There are also public trails in the area
including the "Cataraqui Trail". A canoe and kayak are available for
you to explore the waterways as well.
The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take
advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or
lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes
and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are also lots
of activities, and events to participate in including, golf,
historic tours, boat tours, shopping restaurants, parties, and lots
more.
