The cabin is equipped with all necessary kitchen items. There is a woodstove for heat on a cool day. There are many books, games and puzzles to keep you occupied if the weather isn't great. This is a family camp with some personal photos and items around.

 Attractions

What to do while you are here? Well, there is canoeing, kayaking, sailing, floating, swimming, horseshoes, scrabble, resting, loon watching, squirrel chasing, exploring, camp fire watching and star- gazing to name a few.Off island, there is a nice sandy beach three islands south of us, and many like to go to the south end of the lake to see a train cross the trestle, (maybe jump off…) continue on down the lake to Winthrop, park your boat at the town docks and walk to the ice-cream shop or library. Have dinner at Sully’s and motor back in the evening . A picnic on blueberry island (the wee little island just south of us) is a must for children. If island life gets too quiet, find the 50 Hikes in Maine book and go off island with a destination, or travel to Augusta to Fort Western or the Maine State Museum. A day trip to the coast is nice, Camden, Boothbay Harbor or Bath are only a good hour away and Freeport is less than that. Boothbay has a newly opened Botanical Garden which is well worth the visit. Also,Popham Beach, south of Bath is a spectacular spot with a walk to an island at low tide and Sarah’s in Wiscasset is a great place for a meal.
