western side of Long island, overlooking the crystal-clear turquoise
water and its own unique, sandy cover.

Built in 2002 and designed in the modern style for the tropics, the
house has three bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom - two on
different levels in the main house and the third is located in the
adjacent artist's studio. Privacy is ensured for everyone.

Higher Ground has 1,800 sq. ft. of covered decks and walkways and is
stylishly and comfortably furnished, both inside and out.  It is
located on a beautifully landscaped
private 5-acre estate - perfect for families or up to three couples
looking for a relaxing holiday in a gorgeous, tropical setting.

It’s a two minute walk down the winding path to the water and beach.
Here, you can swim, snorkel or kayak... or just relax in the thatched
gazebo - the perfect spot to barbeque a burger or your "catch of the
day", or sip a cool tropical drink and
wait for that elusive "green flash" at dusk.

Long island is a fascinating and friendly place to explore.  We can
arrange for a rental car so you can discover for yourself all the
historical, geographical and cultural treasures this island has to
offer...like one of the deepest blue holes in the world, vast
underground caves, old plantation ruins, the Long Island Museum and
Library, and miles of spectacular coastlines. Higher Ground house is
situated within easy distance of stores, restaurants, bars, ands churches.

There is world-class scuba diving available, snorkeling, shelling,
hiking, and fishing - both deep sea and bonefishing (some of the best
in the world!) and more beaches than you'll be able to visit during
your stay.

At Higher Ground, you'll find lots to do...or absolutely nothing.
 It’s your choice.

$250.00 damage deposit (to be refunded)
50% deposit required at time of booking.
Remainder required 30 days prior to arrival.
