Description

Your beautiful mountain home awaits you. Something for every season!
Perfect and cozy for one family or a family reunion! Step right
out of your private beautiful mountain home into 5 acres of alpine
forest. Great wildlife viewing on property! A short walk can take
you to the foot of thousands of acres of National Forest. Here you
will have the best of both worlds. A forest playground is at your
doorstep while at the same time ammenities like restaurants, bars,
shopping, and more are 12 minutes away. This is a clean, fresh, and
detailed home.
This beautifully furnished home/property is very immaculate and
custom. You will enjoy this private setting on the end of a
culdesac with pines and aspens surrounding you.
This gorgeous log-sided home, offers 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. The
interior of the house has beautiful pine tongue and groove siding
throughout, oak hardwood floors and slate with custom fixtures.
You won’t want to leave!
Your new mountain vacation home has a beautiful dining room, a
living room, a bar/kitchen with large windows overlooking the
forest and a back deck. The dining room seats 4-6 and the breakfast
bar seats 6. A wood burning stove is perched atop a brick platform
and mantle in the main living space.
The furnishings in the living room and dining room consist of an
aspen log cushioned couch and reading chair, a cushioned log rocking
chair, a single cushioned log chair, a pine Prince and Princess
chair with cypress wood table, an aspen coffee table, log lamp, a
dark wood dining table and chair set from the mountains of Michoacan
Mexico, and a pioneer wagon wheel bench. The warmth of this home is
accentuated with all of the finely crafted wood details that cover
the entire interior space. Add to that the live plants positioned
in perfect places throughout the home.
Enter the 1st bedroom, the Bear Room where you will find a well
appointed room with a queen bed. Sharing the same hallway is the
Country Room featuring a queen bed. These rooms have direct access
to a beautiful bathroom with pine walls, a pedestal sink, and a
saltillo tiled floor.
Walk past the dining room and you will enter the Log Room. This is
a southern exposure room with lots of light which highlights a queen
aspen log bed. A full attached bath provides easy access and
comfort for the occupant of the Log Room. From here, go downstairs
where you will be delighted to see a laundry room with a full washer
and dryer and another bedroom.
The Bunk Room has a bunk bed, a TV and DVD player and is great for
kids! The lower level has an access door leading to the
backyard/forest.
Step foot outside into the forest and venture up the deer trail to
the top of the hill. There you will be welcomed by a cozy bench
with an incredible view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Bring
your coffee or a glass of wine for this private viewing. You will
feel like you are on top of the world!
If you should feel like you need to explore beyond the National
Forest and your cozy cabin home, there are a multitude of things to
do in nearby areas. We are only one hour and fifteen minutes from
Monarch Ski Resort and Woodland Park is close by where there is
great dining, the Dinosaur Museum, and shopping. The Florissant
Fossil Beds National Monument and Museum is around the corner and
Colorado Springs is just down the pass. If you feel like gambling
you can be in the historic mining town of Cripple Creek in no time.
During the winter, you will enjoy sledding down a hill on the
property in a two person toboggan or snow shoeing from the property.
In the fall come visit this mountain home to see the beautiful
changing of the Aspen leaves. The famous Gold Belt Tour is a ‘must
do’ scenic drive during the autumn season.
And of course, summer time in the Rockies is unmatched. The Aspens
are in full bloom and a sprinkling of wildflowers splash color
across the landscape.
This is the Pikes Peak backcountry in all its splendor. Enjoy.
