Sun, endless beaches, forests, little villages, nature, no mass 
tourism - some of the key words when we were looking for our villa, 
which we named “La Maison”. The villa is situated in the village of 
Pontenx Les Forges approx. halfway between Bordeaux and Biarritz, 
and at 15 minutes drive from Mimizan Plage.   The area has a lot to 
offer and it is being recommended that you pay a visit to the 
website of Mimizan for obtaining an impression. 
Our villa was built in 2002 on a fully secluded terrain of 0.8 acre. 
Quietly situated at cul de sac. Interior decoration and furnishing 
took place in 2004. Surface space within the villa is approx. 1,650 
sq. feet. Tiles on all floors. Electric shutters, double glazed 
windows and electric heating. In conformity with French legislation 
a professional security fence has been installed around the swimming 
pool area. Huge terrace including BBQ. Equipped for a maximum of 10 
people. Ideal for (e.g.) two families, or a 3 generations family due 
to there being 2 separate bathrooms, 2 separate toilets.
4 Bedrooms (2 beds 160 x 200cm,6 beds 90 x 200cm), 2 toilets, 2 
bathrooms. Dinner area, lounge and large terrace with barbecue. 
Equipment includes washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, large 
fridge/freezer, electric cooktop with 4 high performance elements, 
dual convection oven, microwave, 34'Sony Flat Screen, Home Cinema 
System (HiFi, DVD), 13’TV VHS in one of the parents’ bedrooms, 2 
double beds, 6 single beds, baby bed, baby chair, large cupboards in 
all rooms. Garden furniture, sun loungers, parasols etc.

Villa is extremely "children friendly". Ground floor well suited for 
people in wheelchairs.  

Enormous beaches and no mass tourism. Even in peak season (July and 
August), ample parking facilities near the beaches. June and 
September are most certainly the best months for relaxing in this 
area. Cycle paths through the huge forests of Les Landes. Canoeing, 
horse riding, cycling, golf (Biscarosse!), swimming, or just 
relaxing near the pool! Excellent spot for daily outings to (e.g.) 
Saint Emilion (75 minutes), or San Sebastian (90 minutes). Or take 
the family into the Pyrenees, south of the city of Dax.. 

Renting prices as mentioned below will apply, irrespective the 
number of visitors (maximum 10, babies included). Unless agreed 
differently, renting will commence on Saturdays after 04.30 p.m. and 
will finish on a Saturday at 10.00 a.m. (allowing time for preparing 
the villa for the next group of guests). The following additional 
charges apply: for electricity Euro 0,15 per kWh. For cleaning the 
villa at the end of your stay: Euro 80. For use of bed linen and 
towels (2 per person for duration of stay, not to be used outside 
the villa), a charge of Euro 12 per person will apply. Extra sets of 
bed linen/towels can be obtained at a rate of Euro 12 per person. 
Upon arrival a cash deposit of Euro 500 will be due to the care 
taker which deposit will be refund after deduction of charges at the 
last day of your stay. Renting price range from Euro 982 (low 
season), Euro 1,580 (mid season) and Euro 2,310 (high season)
