Hidden away on the tranquil East End of Grand Cayman, and unrivaled 
in its privacy, Windward Cove in Gun Bay is being offered for 
vacation rental to the public for the first time since its 
construction 9 years ago.  Forty minutes away from the hustle and 
crowds of 7 Mile Beach, you get to experience and see Grand Cayman 
in glorious fashion.  Most of the conveniences, none of the crowds.  
Welcome to paradise!

The gated front courtyard area finds a myriad of flowering plants 
and trees to greet your arrival. Our signature almond tree shades 
the picnic table area amid the bougainvillea and Christmas palms. 
One step through the front door and you are greeted by the open air 
great room with vaulted ceilings and cool tile floors throughout. 
Four large bedrooms (2 oceanfront, 2 garden view) easily sleep eight 
adults. Each full bathroom is equipped with a tub/shower combination 
and large medicine cabinets. A fully equipped kitchen, washer and 
dryer, entertainment center,  etc. (see amenities for full list)  to 
serve all your needs. Central air conditioning and eleven ceiling 
fans (including one in every bedroom) help keep things cool should 
the ocean breezes die down. Four sets of disappearing sliding glass 
doors open onto a 52' screened-in porch capturing the tropical 
breezes and views from three directions. Step outside to an elevated 
deck and you are greeted by the cobalt sea, and what we refer to as 
the giant lagoon. It's actually a reef protected sound that varies 
in depth from very shallow to 20+ feet out to the reef.Follow the 
deck down to the side of the house and find a large fully enclosed 
outdoor shower, with a bench and dry garment area. One step further 
to the left...the Beach.

This property boasts over 200' of private sugar sand beachfront, 
amid shady coconut palm and casuarina trees. It is also one of the 
deepest all sand beaches on the East end, extending over 150' from 
the rear of the house to the water. While on the beach, you'll 
notice your closest neighbors are several lots away in both 
directions, providing you with an enclave for all your water sports 
adventures. The waters here at Windward Cove have a Marine Park and 
Replenishment Zone designation, creating a refuge for your 
underwater friends. Swim and snorkel to your hearts content as the 
water temperatures average in the low 80's all year long.

For world class diving and snorkeling adventures in the East End of 
Grand Cayman, visit Ocean Frontiers , they are located less than 1 
mile from Windward Cove. Our personal favorite dive operation after 
30 years of diving around the world.

Whether taking a trip with Ocean Frontiers or simply heading into 
the ocean anywhere around the East End, this part of the island 
provides some of the most vibrant snorkeling experiences in Grand 
Cayman. Check out the sand holes and coral heads that populate the 
waters in back of Windward Cove, or venture beyond into the many 
other snorkeling areas that remain largely undiscovered by the 
majority of people that come to this island.There are plenty of 
places to explore just beyond our area as well. In additition, 
everybody wants to see Stingray City at least once if they've never 
been, and many go on every visit. We are currently working on a 
snorkeling map of our favorite places here and the rest of the 
island for our guests going forward. 

If you find yourself longing for a larger, more diverse crowd than 
the one you brought with you, head down to the Rum Point Club in 
Cayman Kai. A bit over 10 miles away, Rum Point is run by the Hyatt, 
and attracts locals and tourists alike. The beach is a somewhat 
larger version of Windward Cove with casaurina trees, and a large 
shallow area for fun in the water. Services there include a beach 
bar and grill, bathroom & showers, activity rental (sailboats, 
kayaks, jet skis, sting ray city trips, and more). Once again, we 
highly recommend one or more trips to Rum Point, followed by a 
return to your very own private version on the East End.  

Nightlife is not the strong suit of the East End, but that's partly 
the point. We do have many fine restuarants within a few miles, and 
Portofinos, Vivine's Kitchen, and Arlaines are less than a mile 
away. Go see the Barefoot Man right down the street at the Royal 
Reef Restaurant, or live entertainment at Morritts Tortuga Club next 
door. Listen, the reason you're here in the first place is because 
it's not crowded and has the best natural habitats and beauty. Seven 
Mile Beach is only 22 miles away and if you've never been we highly 
recommend a visit at least once, but we also know how much more you 
will appreciate Windward Cove upon your return.

A 50% deposit will be requested to confirm your booking, and the 
remaining balance due 45 days before arrival. 


*Above rates do not include the following (excess utility 
usage/damage/major cleaning), therefore a US$ deposit will be 
collected and all unused portions refunded within 45 days. In most 
instances a credit card deposit will suffice.


Cancellations: All cancellation and/or reservation changes must be 
made in writing (email is permitted) to Windward Rentals LLC. Once 
your reservation has been confirmed, any cancellation will invoke 
the following cancellation policy: because island vacations are 
usually booked well in advance, there is often difficulty re-booking 
cancelled reservations. Because of this reality any cancellation 
notice received more than 60 days in advance will incur a 1-day 
rental fee penalty plus $100 booking and filing fees. Less than 60 
days will incur a 2-day rental fee penalty plus $100 booking and 
filing fees. If we are able to re-book the cancelled dates, a full 
refund minus $100 booking and filing fees will be refunded.


Monthly cancellation reservations: Monthly renters must cancel 120 
days prior to check-in to avoid incurring a 2-day rental fee penalty 
plus $100 booking and filing fees.
