perched on a beautiful scenic mountaintop. Experience a unique and
tranquil picturesque mountain escape.
Decorated with comfort in mind this vacation cabin is great for
family gatherings, anniversary, or just a peaceful secluded getaway
to the mountains.

Our Mt Hideaway is approximately 2600 sq ft, with Fabulous Views and
a loft that overlooks the valley and on to another range of Mt
Mitchell Mountains.
If you appreciate the beauty of natural wood you will enjoy the
interior and exterior of this log home, with cathedral ceiling and
hardwood floors.
The kitchen is completely equipped to make your favorite meals, the
bedrooms are carpeted and spacious, plenty of fresh linens and towels
are provided. There is a separate game room with electronic dartboard
and foosball for your enjoyment.
Our cabin is comfortably decorated with local area antiques and lots
of postcard views.
Internet and telephone access is also available.
Our Mt Hideaway has a large wrap around deck that offers three
incredible views, relax outside on our wooden swing or rocking chairs
with a cup of coffee or hot cocoa and enjoy the beauty and serenity
of nature. There is an expanded area of decking with a BBQ gas grill
and picnic table for your leisure.
As you walk into our cozy living room area there are two comfortable
couches, a gas log fireplace that creates a warm atmosphere, an
entertainment center with a 27" cable TV, movies and DVD player.
Our dining room area seats six and has breathtaking views.
The second bedroom has a Queen size bed and a Day bed with cable
TV/DVD player, and private bathroom.
The Master bedroom (loft)has an Antique bedroom set with a full size
thick pillow mattress, a makeup vanity, and a tall chest of drawers.
For your comfort there are two padded reclining chairs for reading,
and relaxation, 27" cable TV, and DVD player.
The picturesque views from the loft are amazing.
We also have a port-a-crib/playpen, toys and movies available for
families with little ones.
Just walking distance from the cabin is a creek where you can go
fishing.
After you are done relaxing, here are just a few things that may
interest you. The town of Burnsville in Yancey County is located
approximately six miles away, which makes it close enough to
civilization for shopping in a small town setting and yet far enough
away to feel secluded. This quaint little town has many unique shops,
authentic crafts, quilts, restaurants and friendly local hospitality .
We are conveniently located a short distance drive to Mt Mitchell
Golf Course, Wolf Laurel or Beech Mountain Ski resorts, Grandfather
Mountain, Boone and Tennessee.
The city of Asheville is 30 minutes from the cabin, there you will
find great restaurants, malls, and the famous Biltmore Estates, don't
miss taking a drive through the Blue Ridge Parkway!
There are many other things to do in this area, antique shops are
both near and far, horseback riding, hiking or rafting just to name a
few.
