At The Del Mar House, you'll truly feel like you are living by the ocean!

The Del Mar House offers many amenities that combine the comforts of
home while still enjoying several of the luxuries of being away on
vacation. Your rental includes the entire private home in the quiet,
picturesque area of Del Mar, in San Diego county. This 4,486 square
foot property is only two blocks away from the Torrey Pines State Beach!

The home itself is an incredibly unique, 1,990 square foot, 3-story
home with a finished basement. With the basement, it really feels like
a 4-story home! The layout is interesting because the levels of the
home are spread out, so it is very roomy and has a contemporary feel.
There are 3 bedrooms (one is a living space with a full-sized
pull-out), 2.5 baths, 3 balconies and a spacious 2-car garage.

* When checking our guests in, we will give a complete tour of the home.

    * Kitchen is very large with granite countertops that surround all
walls. There is a double sink with garbage disposal, stainless steel
GE kitchen appliances and a gas range with 6 burners! Truly beautiful.
    * Master bedroom has a very original curved/domed ceiling. It also
has a tiny balcony that comes off the side of the house. The master
bath has "his and hers" sinks and a jetted tub. It also has a regular
showerhead and a hand shower as well. There is also a second bedroom
with a queen-sized bed and large closet.
    * The largest balcony has a view of the Pacific Ocean and the
Pacific Coast Highway. The sunsets are gorgeous from up there.
    * The main living room has a large dining table with 4 chairs, a
TV, DVD player, balcony, gas fireplace and a sofa and loveseat.
    * There is a second living space on the bottom-most floor. This
room has a full-sized sofabed loveseat (can sleep two children or one
adult), arm chair, a small 2 person dining table and TV.
    * The ground level has a bathroom with nice travertine tiling, a
large shower with attached hand shower and a very large rain shower
head. So relaxing! The half bath is near the kitchen with a glass bowl
sink and the same travertine flooring that continues from the kitchen.
    * The garage has a full-sized, front loading, washer and dryer.
    * Linens, coffee maker, plates, dishes, bowls, flatware, cooking
utensils, cookware, wine glasses, ironing boards, are all provided.
    * While enjoying your stay here at The Del Mar House, we have AT&T
UVerse installed which gives you up to 200 channels of programming! We
also offer free wireless internet!!

San Diego County is well-known for its beautiful scenery, delicious
restaurants, eclectic nightlife, great surf, gorgeous beaches, fun
activities... and most importantly... PERFECT WEATHER! Here are some
recommendations for places to go and activities to explore in San
Diego County:

Beaches - San Diego has many beaches to visit. The closest beach to
The Del Mar House (Torrey Pines State Beach) is within walking
distance! Some other great beaches are Carlsbad State Beach, Mission
Beach, Pacific Beach and La Jolla Shores.

Surfing - It wouldn't be California without surfing! There are many
popular surf spots around San Diego. For the more experienced surfers,
check out Blacks Beach, Boca Rio, Cortez Banks and Swamis. The areas
that are suitable for all surfers include Del Mar Jetties, D Street,
Imperial Beach, South Mission Beach and William Peak.

Golfing - There are many golf courses to enjoy in San Diego County.
The best part is that you can golf even in the winter time because of
the moderate weather!! In fact, the weather is even more favorable in
the off-season than during the summer for a day-long golf outing. Some
great golf courses are Torrey Pines (minutes away from The Del Mar
House), Maderas, Four Seasons Aviara, Mount Woodson, San Vicente Inn,
Sycuan Resort, Encinitas Ranch, La Costa Resort and many more!

Del Mar - You'll enjoy discovering Del Mar, which is a delightful
seaside resort town 18.5 miles north of downtown San Diego via
Interstate 5. Del Mar's village-by-the-sea ambience is an invitation
to come and explore its beautiful wooded hillsides, magnificent
beaches, romantic restaurants, fascinating shops and beautiful homes.
A great place to begin or conclude your shopping and dining tour of
Del Mar proper is at the impressive Del Mar Plaza. This shopping
center has a great ocean view. Del Mar is also the only town in the
county with a thoroughbred horse racing track.

La Jolla - La Jolla in Spanish means "The Jewel". Located a few short
minutes south of The Del Mar House, La Jolla has wonderful beaches,
cultural activities and fine restaurants. La Jolla is an exquisite
combination of a southern European resort atmosphere and Southern
California fun. With its affluent residents and great shopping areas,
La Jolla is sometimes considered the "Beverly Hills of San Diego."

Balboa Park - Balboa park is the nation's largest urban cultural park.
Home to 15 major museums, renowned performing arts venues, beautiful
gardens and the San Diego Zoo, the Park has an ever-changing calendar
of museum exhibitions, plays, musicals, concerts, and classes - all in
the beautiful and timeless setting of this must-see San Diego attraction.

San Diego Zoo - The largest attraction in Balboa Park is the San Diego
Zoo. With 4,000 animals representing more than 800 species and
subspecies, and a botanical collection of 700,000 exotic plants, the
San Diego Zoo is an all-day event.

Sea World - Experience the world's largest and most exciting undersea
extravaganza at Sea World San Diego. Located on beautiful Mission Bay,
you'll enjoy exciting marine life and shows filled with fun and
excitement that will interest all ages. Visit Shamu the killer whale,
acrobatic dolphins, the shark encounter, colorful fish and many
special exhibits.

Gaslamp Quarter - The Gaslamp Quarter is San Diego's premier dining,
shopping and entertainment district. It is located in downtown San
Diego. Experience some of San Diego's best restaurants, exciting
nightlife and unique shops right here!

Seaport Village - A shopping and dining complex overlooking the bay in
San Diego, California. It houses close to 70 shops, galleries, and
eateries. The village contains several freestanding buildings in an
assortment of architectural styles, from Victorian to traditional
Mexican. The views in Seaport Village are on the water and there are
grassy areas to relax and have fun.

Old Town - Historic Old Town is nestled in heart of San Diego, with
over 150 restaurants, shops, and historical sites. Old Town, the
Birthplace of California, is just a short walk from the San Diego
Trolley Transit Center and a short drive from most San Diego destinations.

Coronado - Coronado is a small "island" town in San Diego Bay,
approximately 7.4 square miles in size, connected to the City of San
Diego by the San Diego-Coronado Bridge and to the City of Imperial
Beach to the south by State Highway 75. The town is the neighbor of
Naval Base Coronado which includes Naval Air Station North Island,
home port for two aircraft carriers and the Naval Amphibious Base
where the elite SEALS are trained. The famous Hotel Del Coronado is
located here.
