Description
|
|
Beautiful views of the lake and sunrise, and great swimming are
features that you will enjoy as you relax at the cottage on the
historic Big Rideau Lake.
Enjoy watching the boats pass on their way to the locks. There is
never heavy traffic like the Thousand Islands but enough to make it
interesting. Have your morning coffee on the tete-a-tete under the
old cedar tree facing the lake from the cottage where there is
almost always a pleasant breeze that blows and enough shade to make
it an ideal way to start the day. At night the moon as it shines on
the water is a real treat, especially when it is calm and there is a
spectacular canopy of stars. With the bedroom window open you can
hear the waves lapping on the shore as you fall to sleep.
The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take
advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or
lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes
and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are also lots
of activities, and events to participate in including, golf,
historic tours, boat tours, shopping restaurants, area events, and
lots more.
