This is a fully furnished vacation cabin, all you need to bring is
food, clothes and your personal items. There are King & Twin (2)
bedrooms and 2 full size bathrooms, plus a Queen Sleeper Sofa. Rates
are good for parties of 1 through 6.
If you are looking for "Peace and Quiet" in a beautiful wooded
setting, this is the spot. If you want a comfortable base camp to
venture from, this is still the right spot. Valley River Retreat is
convenient to so much but yet snuggled in the woods and mountains of
western North Carolina.
Our cabin is centrally located to many local Western North Carolina
mountain ranges, lakes, streams, rivers, 4x4, biking and hiking
trails
and surrounding wilderness areas. You could not ask for a better
place
to relax, or to have some fun.
Our Mountain Cabin is easy to reach and simple to locate, unlike many
cabins in the area. Valley River Retreat is located only 6 miles east
of Murphy, NC, in the Western North Carolina Mountains and about 95
miles north of Atlanta, east of Chattanooga or west of Asheville.
Amenities: Just because you come to the mountains does'nt mean you
have to rough it, or give up some comforts. You are here to relax and
have some fun. The cabin has all the modern efficiencies &
furnishings
of a typical home: central heating and A/C, fully equipped modern
kitchen with dishes, utensils and cooking items, washer and dryer,
local telephone service, 32" color TV with Satelite (+ local
channels)
and a VCR & DVD. You also have a computer with access to the
internet.
This cabin has a wrap around deck, a private covered deck area
accesible through the master bedroom's french doors, rockers and
chairs and gas grill. Volume ceilings in every room and skylights in
the master bedroom and second bath let in light all day long. Oh, did
we mention the year~round mountain views?
~Remember, all you need to bring is food, clothes and your personal
items and relax in the mountains.~
Activities (on site or nearby): Western North Carolina Mountains,
Tellico 4x4 area and several bike and hiking trails areas. The Smokey
National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, other scenic parkways, national
parks and Franklin NC (gem mining) are within 60 minutes. Nantahala
Outdoor Center (NOC) for Intermediate White Water rapids (Family
level), Andrews, NC., Smokey Mountain Railroad, TN State Line. TVA
Dam
and recreation lakes. Fishing, boating, 2 major mountain ranges for
backpacking and hiking, large weekend Flea Markets, dozens of Antique
shops, and more than a dozen good restaurants. Cherokee NC, &
gambling
is about 60 miles. Many local hunting and fishing locations (State

3 to 7 day stays are available. This is a non-smoking and although we
love our pets, a pet free cabin. We do on occasion offer 2 night -
all
inclusive stays. Non prime rentals for 3 days start at $275.00 (less
than local motel rooms alone), plus taxes, refundable security and a
