Description
|
|
This custom designed Harrop House is serene and private, fully
furnished, light and spacious, with an open-plan living/dining/kitchen
area under a cathedral ceiling. There are personal touches by the
artist/owners providing beautiful linens, custom designed window
coverings and art and dishware. The large arched windows offer
stunning mountain views and the covered porch faces West Arm
Wilderness Park, containing some of the last untouched wilderness in
BC. With 8 acres and 290 ft. of lakefront on the West Arm of Kootenay
Lake, it has both pasture and a lush private forest with a gentle
trail leading to a creek and two sandy lakefront beaches. Five miles
from the main body of Kootenay Lake, Harrop House is accessible by a
free five-minute, on-demand 24-hour-a-day ferry, giving the community
an air of being away from it all. Fjord-like Kootenay Lake is 80 miles
long and surrounded by 7-9,000 ft. mountains. Wildlife abounds,
including eagles, deer, elk, wild turkeys, rainbow trout and salmon.
Three bedrooms, two baths, charming home with covered porch and
abundant recreational activities, this place is amazing.

Home Exchange |
|
We would consider a home exchange for all seasons other than
June-September for interest in our own property. It is not dependent
on when we are not here since it is a seperate property from our own
home. We would consider a pet with deposit. We would enjoy traveling
about anywhere. Ideally we need to have another property available to
us during school holidays, ie: Summer/Christmas/Easter.
