Third floor (top floor) beachfront apartment on Wonson's Cove, a 
tidal Atlantic Ocean Cove.  At high tide the water is almost up to 
the building; the foundation of the porches is the seawall. The view 
is entralling; up close are the various waterfowl who frequent the 
Cove, further out are the lobster and fishing boats, pleasure craft, 
and in the summer schooners; on a clear day you can see to Boston.  
If you want to swim, just walk downstairs or bring your kayak.The 
small beach is private (owned by 4 families).  A couple of minutes 
walk brings you to the gallaries and summer restaurants of the Rocky 
Neck Art Colony; a couple of minutes in the other direction is the 
Gloucester Stage Company. There is no parking with the building, but 
there is a free public lot across the street. 

The apartment has a Queen size bed in the bedroom and a sofa in the 
living room that opens to a full size bed.  There is a window air 
conditioning unit in the bedroom.  The kitchen has an apartment size 
gas stove, full refrigerater, dishwasher, microwave, pots, pans, 
dishes, etc.  Linens are furnished as well as beach towels,small 
binnoculars, hairdryer, iron, ironing board; the bath is tiled and 
has a tub/shower combination; Cable TV and wifi are included. 

Gloucester is a tourist destination and aside from the natural 
beauty there are many activities, especially in the summer.  Whale 
watching, deep sea fishing, schooner rides, boat tours, and various 
water activities.  There are a number of museums including Hammond 
Castle, Cape Ann Historical, Maritime Heritage, etc. and many art 
galleries.  There are several beautiful parks, outdoor band 
concerts, symphony orchestra, summer dance company, local stage 
company, and many varied offerings from the local arts community.  
We are also only an hour away from Boston.

From June through Labor Day week, the rent is $1000 a week plus a 
one time cleaning fee of $70.  Half of the rent is due at booking 
and the remainder one month prior to scheduled arrival.
In case of cancellation, all monies are returned if cancellation is 
30 days prior to scheduled arrival; after that date, the cleaning 
fee is returned and the amount for any booked days that are 
subsequently rented. Personal checks on a U.S. bank, Master Card or 
Visa are accepted.
