Experience really being in tropical Hawaii's rain forest area. This 
is an ecotourism site, which means. we work to conserve and protect 
the environment. We have volunteered in local conservation for 30 
years.  
We have solar electric and a radio phone.  It looks normal, so we 
have to remind you, to turn off lights you are not using, please do 
not charge your applicances on our batteries. There is limited use of 
fans in warm weather. We have all gas appliances for hot water, 
refrigeration and stoves.
You are encouraged to walk and enjoy the adjacent public gardens and 
pick fruit in season.
Hana is a sweet local village where you will find the biggest 
excitement is local baseball games or song contests and local 
festivals.  
You can be active with swimmming, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, 
visiting the small local museum, the two local grocery stores, one 
gas station (gas is probably the highest in the nation). 

One our road is an awesome Lava Tube Cave Tour and another Garden 
with an ancient archeology site. Both have fees.

Or..........you can relax really do nothing and enjoy the quiet, the 
birds, the garden and the grass 
growing .......growing........growing......

There are two ........one room studios back to back.  Both have Queen 
beds, full kitchens with pots and pans and dishes. Private baths with 
walk in showers.  Comfortable eating and sitting areas. Private 
carports and lanai's.  Fun decorated Marine Studio has an extra twin 
bed ($25 extra charge) extra person or bed.
Flower Studio has a queen bed.
Located on the the edge of the Gardens, you have full access to 
wander and pick available fruit in season.

Haleakala National Park lower area.  Also, nick named Seven Pools is 
about 11 miles but takes 45 minutes.  Several County and State Parks 
are in the area for swimming or hiking.
