Rent our cozy little cabin. 

It is located in close proximity to the highway in the ZigZag/
Rhododendron area at the base of Mt Hood, nestled amongst the old 
growth trees. Within minutes drive of the slopes and with convenient 
access to the highway this is the perfect getaway for those people 
looking to enjoy all of the adventures the area provides.During the 
summer this cabin offers a refuge from the 
oppressive heat with its shade provided by the old growth trees. 
Perfect for those wanting to explore the summer hiking opportunities 
and other fun on the mountain.

We consider this cabin to be a two bedroom because it has one 
conventional bedroom and one loft area with a double bed that also 
serves as a bedroom.The bedroom has the worlds most comfortable bed
(IMHO) with a very new, top of the line, pillow top mattress. The 
living 
room has a futon couch that flattens into a very comfortable bed for 
two and a single futon chair that also flattens out nicely to sleep 
one very comfortably.

The primary heating is provided by a nice little woodstove. It has 
the 
glass front which provides that comforting/romantic fire glow which 
helps to give the place a very cozy ambience.

This place is very cute and has a bit of rustic charm coupled with 
most of the conveniences you would expect from a modern home.

There are many ski attractions in the area. Timberline, Mt Hood 
Meadows, 
Ski Bowl. Ski bowl has several summertime attractions...mainly the 
famous Alpine slide.Summer time hiking and exploring areas abound.

 A favorite is the Cascade Streamwatch park nearby. It has manicured 
nature trails and the famous streamwatch viewing area...where you 
actually can view the stream and the underwater wildlife from below 
the 
water level....fascinating for everyone.

The nearby Resort on the Mountain has golfing and there is a 
miniature 
golf course about 4 miles away.

Nearby is the famous Zigzag Inn, great food especially the pizza and 
a 
nice crowd of locals and travelers make this a popular stop.  

We require a 2 night minimum commitment.


Daily rates are $90 during the low season of April 1 through the end 
of November.
Daily rates are $120 during the high season of December through the 
end 
of March.

Weekly and monthly rates during low season are available at $400 and 
$1100.

We also offer weekly rates of $550 during high season and monthly 
rates of $1600. 


There is a $300 deposit required for daily rentals payable before we 
can hold your reservation. This also serves as a refundable cleaning 
deposit. 


Stays of one month or longer require a $800 deposit as well as a 
credit/background 
check which is a non refundable $30 charge.

Stays of 3 months or longer are available at $800 per month + the 
cost 
of electricity. (Contact us for more details concerning the 3+ month 
option) 

Payment in advance is required before access is granted.

Great location for people wanting to take advantage of the activities 
on the mountain.

It is on the average snow line. Thus with average snowfall there are 
not many days with more than a few inches of accumulation. So in other 
words it is as close to the slopes as you can get without having to 
routinely do shoveling/plowing most years. 

It is within easy walking distance from Skyway and the Zigzag Inn. Two 
of the best restaurant/lounges on the mountain.
Only 15-30 minutes from all of the ski slopes. 
5 minutes from the Resort on the Mountain.

There are old growth trees on this property that are very large. 
Suitable for hanging out in their shade or hugging, whatever suits you 
best.


The condition of the property is very good:

Brand new septic system and sand filter in 2001.
All newly painted interior.
Wirsbo plumbing throughout thus freezing pipes are a thing of he past.
(Several years ago our pipes froze. We needed to replace everything so 
we had Wirsbo plumbing installed. 

This is a hi tech plastic type of pipe that can freeze without damage. 
We also installed heat tapes on the tubing and wrapped them with 
insulation) 


The 200 sq ft shed has recently had the the roof wood all repaired, 
heavy duty felt installed and metal roofing over that. This roofing 
matches the house.
A new vinyl window was installed and the entire exterior has been 
covered with felt and cedar shake siding, also to match the house.

All of the cedar shake siding on the house and the shed have been 
pressure washed and heavily treated with Sunfrog treatment just last 
summer.
