The school closed in 1994 and has now been turned over to the community.
We have shops on the upper level selling hand made quilts, carvings,
jams, knitted goods, and various crafts. There is a Collectables shop
and a sewing shop as well as an art gallery.
The ground level of the school is where the hostel is located.

The hostel has large bright windows in all rooms. The dorm has 7 beds,
2 single the rest are bunks. The remainng three rooms contain two sets
of bunks with two of those bunks being double beds. This means we can
accomodate 21 people in total.
we have 5 shower stalls two for women, two for men and the fifth is
large enough for a wheel chair.
Large kitchen area with large common area for relaxing. 
There are hiking trail right outside our door and open fields full of
wild blueberries. 

A 5 minute drive brings you to Carters Beach which is 3 cresent shaped
beaches in a row and a fresh water lagoon. The sand is soft and the
waters are very clear. This area is surrond by many beautiful islands.
In the area there is also the Port Jolie Migratory Bird Sanctuary,
Thomas Raddal Park, Kejimkujik National Park and Kejimkujik Seaside
Park with a large number of trails to hike.
Within a 15 minute drive there are 4 other beaches to visit and the
town of Liverpool.
There are groceries available both in town or just down the street
from us and there is also a resturaunt just down the road.

All beds are $20/night.
