 We are offering a large, comfortable bed-and-breakfast-type guest
room with most all amenities, as well as retreat space. This is
offered to friends, business contacts and travelers wishing to
experience a quiet mountain retreat in a separate wing of a private
home. We generally prefer mature individuals or couples, no dogs
please, (one cat possibly OK). Bringing children is discouraged due to
terrain hazards. Write or
call to introduce yourself and your party, and we can arrange your
stay. This room was completed in Fall, 2002, and is private and
spacious. There is also a second room, which can accomodate 2 persons
on separate twin size sleeping areas, or a queen size mattress on the
center floor area. This second room is designed more as a meditation
and study room. Day use of this room is free to all guests. This
second room is not currently air-conditioned, but opens to a glass and
screen enclosed outdoor sitting room, and has fans and good
ventilation. Both have ample baseboard heating units for cold weather
use. Breakfast included if you wish. Your stay will be a quiet and
relaxing getaway.
In addition, there is a large 5'x7' (non-whirlpool) concrete & ceramic
tile hot tub located in a room under the house, which can be darkened
and has colored mood lights. This is for guests of 2 days or more and
must be requested in advance due to preparation time. Behind the house
is a steep mountain for hiking, be sure to wear long pants if you plan
on that, or stroll down this lightly-traveled country road.

stairs & sloping walks)

$85 per couple per night, with stays of more than two nights
negotiable. There is also a second room, which can accomodate 2

To reserve the room(s), please contact us to arrange the dates and
please prepay so that we receive a money order or check at least 1
week before arrival (I will provide a mailing address or P.O. box by
phone). You may use PAYPAL for payment (no credit cards currently
accepted). For last-minute reservations (only when available), you may
pay cash upon arrival (no checks, please). Full ID is required upon
arrival, as well as signing a usage agreement and liability release
form. There will be 7% North Carolina State sales tax (Tax ID on file
with NC Dept of Revenue). 30% forfeiture of fees will be retained due
to no-shows or cancellations with less than five days notice before
scheduled arrival.
