moose or perhaps a bear from this hideaway on the Rio Grande River. 
Warm yourself by the fire in the woodstove on a chilly morning or 
enjoy your breakfast on the spacious covered deck.  Watch the sun 
traverse the canyon from sunrise to sunset & then count stars that 
seem so close you feel you could reach out and touch them. Three

kitchen with microwave & dishwasher, washer & dryer plus large gas 
grill on covered deck.  Dish tv; vhs & dvd with large selection of 
tapes.  Books, games, puzzles.  Wifi.  

Breathtaking setting in canyon between South Fork & Creede, Colorado 
with Rio Grande River in backyard & Palisade cliffs above. Golf at 
the new, nationally acclaimed Rio Grande Club; Ski at Wolf Creek 
(best snow in Colorado, reasonable lift tickets); raft/kayak the Rio 
Grande; hike in the nearby Weminuche or LaGarita Wilderness; Pagosa 
Springs natural hot springs less than 60 miles; horseback or sleigh 
rides; rock climbing in nearby Penitente Canyon; 4-wheeling or ATV 
to Wheeler Geologic area; visit Creede's Underground Mining Museum; 
fish in gold medal waters; see a performance at Creede Repertoire 
Theatre (summer) or just enjoy shopping in the unique shops & 
galleries of Creede; treat yourself to nearby gourmet dining; relax 
on the covered deck & read or write that great novel.

As noted, may be higher for large groups or during holidays; may be 
lower for smaller groups.

Summer, possible spring break or Christmas holiday work best for our 
schedule but exchange does not need to be simultaneous.  Possible 
two adult couples with two children but may just be one adult 
couple. Prefer location where we can bike or hike or on ocean.  Use 
of vehicle negotiable.
