Description
|
|
We invite you to visit, relax, and enjoy the solitude of your remote
home away from home.
With a different appeal, rustic charm and appearance, over looking a
beautiful small lake a few miles north of McDougle lake, lays a cozy
one room cabin nestled in a forest of scattered birch, aspen and
ever greens, on a remote parcel surrounded by the Superior National
Forest and near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) of Northern
Minnesota. This one room cabin accommodates up to nine sleepy heads
with their own beds; five single bunk beds, one queen sized bunk,
and one queen sized hide-a-bed, and has a separate changing room for
privacy. The dining area is next to the kitchen so family and
friends can keep the cook company while he is frying up the catch of
the day, and cooking will be a breeze with the gas stove. In the
evening you will have great fun toasting marshmallows over the fire.
Or how about a wiener roast followed by smores at the fire pit. The
picnic table for family-style dining is a great spot for catching
lake breezes, sunning, reading and enjoying that first cup of
coffee. You will find that the warmth and coziness of the knotty
pine interior, the openness of the vaulted ceiling with log beams,
the glass front wood burning stove and the casual comfort of the
large soft sofa, will offer you a place to relax and enjoy the peace
and serenity that this cabin has to offer during any season.
This cabin is available for rentals year round. In the Summer, enjoy
the nearby trails, lakes, and streams. In the Winter, come
experience the snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing and
snowmobile trails.

Amenities |
|
This place is wild! Every day (and night) something new and
different happens. Between the animals, birds, seasons, plants,
flowers, fish, and sky, there is always something wild to see, hear,
and do.
Bring your camera. Northern Minnesota is more than a great year-
round vacation destination, it's also home to scenic vistas,
spectacular sunrises and sunsets, northern lights (the aurora
borealis), wildlife, birds, and a stunning array of seasons.
Photography opportunities in the area during the winter months can
be a breathtaking experience, with the diversity in topography,
wildlife and activities, you'll see a picture in everything.
Tracking animals in the snow to capturing a Red Fox dancing in a
field of whiteness as it pounces on its prey or a bull moose draped
in a blanket of snow with the cloud of frozen breath in the air, are
sights unforgettable. In short, it's a photographer's dream come
true.
