Description
|
|
Front Street Flat, in historic Coupeville, is a first floor
apartment in a building which dates back to the late 1800s. Recent
renovations include new bed and bath linens, slipcovers and kitchen
essentials.
Enter through a vine-covered arbor which leads downstairs to a
waterfront landing with deck furniture for sunbathing and alfresco
dining. French doors open to the deck off the bedroom. Just
completed is a bathroom with shower. We provide white cotton robes.
A wall of windows frames beautiful Penn Cove. A comfortable sitting
area is furnished with a white slip-covered sofa, chair and good
reading lamps. There is also a full kitchen and dining room adjacent
to a second waterside deck.
Front Street Flat sits on 75 feet of beachfront facing Penn Cove. It
has 180 degree views with Mount Baker in the distance. Watch
sailboats, sea otters, and kayakers off the decks, and enjoy morning
sun, while being tempted by the subtle aroma of cinnamon rolls just
out of the oven at the bakery and espresso shop next door. Enjoy
wine on the deck while watching glorious sunsets.
Front Street Flat is unique. It is very private and quiet. Yet, it
is in the heart of old Coupeville – just steps away from espresso
cafes, excellent restaurants, art galleries, antique shops,
boutiques, parks, festivals, a wonderful Farmer’s market, and
concerts on the cove.

Attractions |
|
Front Street Flat is located in central Whidbey, the most scenic
part of the island. Historic Coupeville, a seaside village offers
casual cafes, excellent restaurants, art galleries, antiques,
boutique shops and a small museum. You can bring your kayaks; the
calm waters of Penn Cove are perfect for a day on the water. If you
don’t have a boat you can book passage on the classic S.V. Cutty
Sark; it docks right in front of the FIat. Coupeville is centered in
Ebey’s National Historic Reserve. Hiking the bluff at Ebey’s landing
is one of the highlights of the island. You can catch a ferry from
here to the National Historic Port Townsend where you can explore
shops, cafes and history. Beyond Port Townsend is the Olympic
National Park with incredible views, hiking, and a visitors’ center.
To the south is scenic Greenbank. The Greenbank Farm espresso café
and winery offers visitors many fine ways to spend a day. The farm
is a community gathering center with art, music, festivals,
antiques, jazz in the barn, wine tasting, Sunday Farmer’s Market and
fall craft fairs. The farm also has hiking trails with spectacular
views of the water and mountains.
North, it is only a 30 minute drive north to Deception Pass Park,
known for white sand beaches, a fresh water lake, hiking trails over
the islands and spectacular sunsets. Further north is Anacortes, the
ferry terminal to the San Juan Islands. This is a great day trip to
explore the islands, go whale watching or for the pure pleasure of
the scenery.
