This is a bit "wordy" but worth the time to read!
This beautiful craftsman home was built in 1912 and is the third
oldest home still standing in Pacific Beach. This spacious home has
5000 square feet and sits on a one-quarter acre lot with a three-car
detached garage.
A wall surrounds the property for privacy with plenty of yard space
for outdoor activities as well as private parking for your vehicle
and
even a boat or recreational vehicle (RV). It is located in North
Pacific Beach, just blocks from the beach, on the cusp of La Jolla,
and minutes from I-5 which takes you downtown, to the zoo, shopping,
etc. all within ten to twenty minutes.
* Note: The house is three stories and unfortunately not built with
wheelchair access. *
On the first level, you will find a beautiful formal dining room with
built in china cabinets and buffet which can easily accommodate 12
plus diners. The living room has TV/VCR/DVD etc. as well as a built
in
bookcase with plenty of reading materials for almost any literary
taste. It also has a beautiful wood-burning fireplace, which is
wonderful for the cooler seasons.
"The Parlor" adjoins the living room through beautiful pocket doors
where there’s additional seating and a beautiful upright piano for
the
musically inclined. There are two bathrooms, a full-size laundry with
washer and dryer, and a fully-equipped kitchen with dishes, utensils,
and cookware provided.
The sleeping accommodations are located on the second level which can
be accessed via the Main staircase at the front of the house OR the
Servants' staircase located in the back by the kitchen and laundry.
There are technically six bedrooms, however only five are set up as
"full-time" bedrooms (one King, three queens and one with 2 twin
beds).
There are other rooms that can be set up for sleeping accommodations
as needed. Also on the second level are one and a half bathrooms,
and a second "Living Room" complete with TV/VCR/DVD etc. This room
is often used as a "Kids' room" and comes with a limited selection
of kids toys and
videos.
When you want to enjoy the outdoors but not the "rest of the world,"
you can relax on the front porch which is partially enclosed with
table and seating ideal for casual dining or playing games. If you
have friends in town or business associates and want to throw
a barbecue, there is a large patio area with umbrella tables and a
gas grill which can easily accommodate a large group. For
entertainment there’s a ping pong table, croquet, bocceball, and
more.

Rates |
|
- Rates are $3500/wk or $500/nt (subject to a 10.5% sales tax)
- 2 night min. required.
- Rates are based on 10 guests.
- $1000 deposit required upon booking to guarantee dates.
- Deposit will convert to damage deposit upon arrival and will be
returned within 7-10 business days of departure if no damages are
incurred.
- $150 cleaning fee
- Rental Fees due in full (including tax and cleaning fee) 90 days
prior to arrival.
