Enjoy a quiet, peaceful, leisurely vacation on a beautiful, clear 
Adirondack Mountain lake.  This contemporary designed lakefront 
cottage has 6 rooms with a picturesque view overlooking a large 
sandbar on the lake. There are modern electric appliances 
(range/oven, refrigerator/freezer, cable TV, stereo, microwave, 
coffeemaker, etc.), a shower, Franklin fireplace, and bilevel 
sundecks with a gas grill.  Sleeping accommodations include two 
bedrooms with double beds, a loft with a double bed, and a pullout 
double sofa bed.  The beach has a gradual drop-off and a dock.
This is a no smoking cottage.  

Trout and bass fishing is excellent.

For the golfer, a challenging 9-hole course is within walking 
distance, as are tennis and basketball courts.  
Autumn foliage is extremely colorful throughout the entire area.  
Labor Day weekend provides a colorful sailboat regatta.

There are trail heads in the area for all levels of wilderness hiking 
trails, many to waterfalls and lakes and ponds.

The Star Lake area has several good restaurants and a well-stocked 
grocery store.  Lake Placid is a beautiful day trip, only 70 miles 
away over scenic Adirondack highways.  Alexandria Bay, the bustling 
center of the Thousand Islands is about the same distance in the 
opposite direction.  Cranberry Lake is only 15 miles away with good 
restaurants and several tourist activities

$750 per week from Sunday at 2:00 pm to Sunday at noon, including 
fishing boat and canoe.  Motor for boat is available for additional 
$100 per week.
Before 6/25/06 and after 9/10/06 the rate is $500 per week or $100 
per night.
Certain pets may be allowed for an additional $100 per week.
