Inviting, secluded waterfront home in Neck Point Coves on idyllic 
Shaw Island, 2 acres, low bank pebbled beach. 80 miles north of 
Seattle: enjoy quiet, easy-paced pastoral Shaw, part of San Juan 
Islands archipelago. You have to spend time here to feel is magic. 
Visitors dot want to leave.
Shaw is a 40 minute ferry ride from Anacortes. The house is 5 miles 
from the ferry across a tiny isthmus.

OUR HOUSE: has a large open vaulted-ceiling living room with views 
looking south across the Straits of Juan de Fuca to Friday Harbor on 
San Juan Island. A fireplace, a view deck, the same sweeping views 
from all living areas. The house is basic but incredibly delightful.
Yoll find yourself just sitting and watching the sky and water.
But there is kayak traffic, sailboat races, yachts, ferries, whales, 
seals and otters, eagles and Great Blue Herons to see.

The house sleeps four to six guests and features light, airy rooms, 
and Mexican tile floors in the kitchen and lower bedroom. 

Kitchen: includes a new refrigerator, a range, sink, microwave, and 
toaster-oven. It comes equipped with dishes for ten, glassware, 
silverware, cookware, and utensils. Special items include: large crab 
boiling pot, ovenware. 

Bedrooms: The house has two separate bedrooms, one with a queen bed 
and with full bathroom, the other with two twin-sized futons a 
bathroom with shower. There is electric heat in each bedroom. There 
is a powder room off the kitchen.
Linens and blankets are provided and there is a washer and dryer. 
There is no TV. Bring great summer reads and your favorite DVDs.There 
are family games waiting to be played. Other amenities include a DVD 
player, stereo, and some fast-reading paperbacks. Outdoor 
BBQ. Cord wood.

Living Room: The living area has electric heat, fireplace, dining 
table and chairs, a queen size pullout sofa, coffee tables, and two 
comfy reading chairs and is especially bright and cheerful.
Living Room/ loft: Very popular with kids, the loft has two twin bed 
mattresses on the floor. Linens included. Towels and washcloths are 
included.

Deck: The deck is equipped with an outdoor coffee table and two 
Adirondack chairs.
This house is rated for four guests with a maximum occupancy of 
eight. This is a no pet/no smoking home.

ISLAND AMENITIES:
Neck Point Coves has a lovely community swimming pool for you to 
enjoy within easy walking distance. Shaw Island boasts a charming 
library. Bring your bicycles. Go beach walking. Launch our two kayaks 
for a ride to Yellow Island, a pristinely beautiful island stewarded 
by Nature Conservancy.

Sealife and eagles are abundant. The island has lovely fields and 
wooded areas and driftwood beaches to enjoy and amazing sunsets on 
the water.
A beautiful feature of the island is the University of Washington 
Biological preserve, an old family farm donated to UW with woods and 
open fields and gorgeous waterfront and expansive views. Other 
charming features are the Shaw Island General Store which has a 
little bit of everything, and the church open to all, located at the 
ferry dock. Shaw Island has no restaurants. 
It is a 5-mile trip from the ferry dock to the house in Neck Point 
Coves and a short ferry ride to San Juan Island for more food 
shopping, lunching, dining, boutiques, art galleries, movies, 
horseback-riding, tennis, lake swimming, and fishing trips. There is 
a public boat launch and marina. You can take your car or walk on and 
visit Friday Harbor on foot. Lovely Orcas Island is even closer with 
the same amenities but you will need a car or bikes to tour.

Vacation Rental Rates 
Monthly: begin August, and September. We do our best to 
accommodate your schedule if bridging months. Families can split a 
month.
Weekly $1200.
$2750/month plus water usage (Please call and discuss.) Neck Point 
Coves must pay for its water. 
A 50% deposit is required confirm your reservation. Remainder due 30 
days prior to arrival. 
If you must cancel 30 days prior to arrival, 50% of your deposit will 
be refunded. No refunds for cancellations less than 15 days prior to 
arrival.
Additional Fees:
$1000.00 Damage Deposit 
$850.00 Water use fee deposit.
Water use and damage deposit will be charged upon arrival.
Check-in time is 2pm and check-out is 12 noon.
