 Artist Studio: 
The house is built on pilings over Jamaica Bay, within an intimate
colony of homes accessible by a 300-foot boardwalk over the tidal
marshlands Located in the heart of Gateway National Recreation Area
just 20 minutes from Kennedy Airport, 45 minutes from Manhattan,
within a 15-minute walk of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge and one
train stop from Rockaway Beach Atlantic Ocean, surfing and surf fishing.
Enjoy the beautiful peaceful surrounding ideal for; boating, fishing,
swimming, surfing and bird watching or walk along the beaches, knowing
that the excitement, culture and fine cuisine of one of the world's
greatest cities is just a short ride away.
	
This spacious "artist studio" is a two story, fully equipped house.
The first floor is 18' x 32' kitchen and studio area, the bath is 6'x
10', the bedrooms are on the second floor 18'x24'. 
The neighborhood is an island & consists of single family homes, a
nice park with handball & tennis courts, and a fishing station where
boats and motors can be rented. 

There is one queen one double and one single bed. The studio has
towels & sheets; however, they are not changed daily. There are also
cooking utensils, etc. and small grocery stores as well as a
Laundromat within walking distance.

Within a 5 minute walk there is the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. There
have been 325 species of birds recorded at the Refuge through 1994.
Egrets, Night Heron, Oyster Catchers, Loons, Bittern, Glossy Ibis,
Snow Geese and Plover are just a few you will see. 

The deposit required is 25% of your stay. You may pay for the deposit
with a bank check or a personal check in U.S. funds only. No
reservations will be made without a deposit. Balance, including tax,
paid to host on day of arrival in cash, traveler's or bank checks. No
Personal checks or credit cards. Refunds (less $40 booking fee) made
upon cancellation notice of at least 30 days. Cancellation less that
30 days prior to arrival date, deposit not refundable.
Cost is $950 per wk the minimum stay from May to Sept. is 7 days
$450 per wk end off season the minimum stay is 3 days.
Off-season is March 1st - May 1st and Oct. 1st – Nov.30th
This is for up to 4 people additional quests cost $140 per wk. adult
$75 children
