This serene 1890 grand 4000 sq. ft.Victorian is located on a
secluded, private beach peninsular.Due to being on a peninsular the
breezes are strong and cool. This area and home are extremely quiet and
peaceful.Typically the only sounds are from birds, rustling of trees
from the wind, and the water. It was designed
with 2 totally, isolated living quarters. They have separate entrances
and decks, and are in different wings of the house and on individual
floors. The second one is owner occupied. I work as a therapist for
Boston Public Schools, and am very laid back. The decor is shabby chic
and looks like it belongs in a design magazine. The house and area
were featured on the T.V. show Chronicle There are 3 bed rooms. One
bed room is a large bedroom suite, and has a fire place with a gas
fire place, and 2 window seats. The next bed room has a window seat
and Fire place. The 3rd. bed room currently has a double futon, but
if preferred a bed can replace the futon. There is a fire place in
this room also. The beds are double extremely high vintage French
beds, with top quality mattresses, and feather beds with tons of down
quilts and pillows. The linens are a wonderful quality and are
available in cotton, flannel, and jersey, and bed spreads for every
season. The water views from these rooms are lovely. The bath room has
a deep claw foot tubs, and shower. The eat-in kitchen is charming
with a vintage crystal chandelier. There is not a dish washer however.
The rest of the unit has crystal chandeliers, and hard wood floors,
and charming nooks and crannies. It is super comfortable and
light and airy. There are water views from all rooms except the bath
room. There are covered and exposed porches all around the
house. There are gardens, an out door children's play house, a hot
tub,a double hammock,swing,B.B.Q.and plenty of lovely out door
furniture. Parts of the porches are set up with white curtains for
maximum privacy if desired.
