Nestled in the Outer Cape town of Eastham, the cozy Night Heron 
Cottage  offers the perfect location for your long or short Cape Cod 
stay. Whether you’re into birding or wildflowers, bike riding or 
grabbing a wave, exploring marshes or historic sites, or simply 
enjoying some of the most beautiful beaches and sunsets in the 
world, the Night Heron will make your Cape Cod stay a relaxing 
adventure.
    The Night Heron Cottage is only minutes away from fresh water 
ponds, First Encounter Beach on the Bay, National Seashore Park’s 
famed Coast Guard Beach on the ocean, Fort Hill Nature Trails, 
Wellfleet Audubon Sanctuary and the Cape Cod Rail Trail.  The Night 
Heron is located 2 miles from  National Seashore ocean beaches and 
1.5 miles from Cape Cod Bay beaches and fresh water ponds. The 10 
public beaches in Eastham. Marsh and river canoeing/kayaking and 
ocean surfing are all only minutes away, as is deep sea fishing, 
Cape Cod Rail Trail biking, nature trail hiking, prime golfing and 
the Audubon Bird Sanctuary at Wellfleet Bay. Forty minutes down the 
road, in Provincetown, you can go aboard the greatest whale-watching 
fleet and explore a real pirates’ treasure museum, all in the same 
day and on the same wharf! 
The cottage has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths,  fully equipped kitchen (no 
dishwasher), large deck, plenty of parking, deck, and shed for 
storing bikes. The beds available are 1 king and 2 queen with a fold 
out sofa in living room. Linen is provided,  beach towels, and beach 
chairs.

Galley kitchen with usual appliances, microwave, blender, coffee 
pots (caffinated and decaffinated), lobster pot, deck, parking in 
front or rear of house, TV/VCR in each bedrooms, air in each room, 
ceiling fan, comfortable living room, back deck, gardens and lawn.

The cottage is located across the road from Fort Hill, the beginning 
of the National Seashore. Fort Hill is an area that includes a view 
of Nauset Marsh, the Ocean, Coast Guard Beach, and Nauset Beach. 
Fort Hill also contains hiking trails through the Marsh and Cedar 
Swamps. We are aprox. 2 miles from the visitor's center of the 
National Seashore,from there one can reach Coast Guard Beach, Nauset 
Lighthouse Beach, hiking trails, and bike path. 

Rental of the whole house by the week is off peak season (July and 
Aug when it is run as a B&B). The rate for a week in June, Sept, or 
Oct is $2000/wk. The rest of time, it is $1800/week. The maximum 
number of people is 6 (Children count as people!). Deposit is 50% by 
charge card, balance due on arrival. A security deposit of $200 is 
charged at time of booking. It will be returned after the house is 
cleaned so I can note any damage. Cancellation can occur 30 days 
before visit minus a $50 fee. Less tha 30 days, refund minus the $50 
is only if we rerent. Once you decide to cancel, you cannot change 
your mind. All cancllations are final. I will be trying very hard to 
find someone to take that time period and I can't have someone 
saying "If you can't get someone I'll come!"
