The Suite opens onto a beautiful private patio (225 sq ft) in an
Asian-inspired terraced garden.
The décor features original art by Pacific Rim artists.
The Building, designed by the award-winning architectural firm of
Battersy-Howat, was featured in Canadian House and Home.
The Property, located on a quiet side street between Fraser and Main
in East Vancouver, faces onto the north end of Mountainview
Cemetery; Vancouver’s oldest and a lovely large green area in which
to walk.
The Neighbourhood, south of the trendy blocks on Main and convenient
to the Commercial Drive fashion strip, also offers easy access to
several ethnic shopping areas such as Little India at Main from 43rd
and the South East Asian area and old German shops on South Fraser.
And here’s a note – it’s a 15 minutes walk to Solly’s off Main
(reputedly the best Jewish delicatessen west of Toronto) and to
Legendary Noodles (‘legendary’ because they still make their own).
Your Host at Bamboo Terrace is Vancouver stage and television actor,
Christine Willes (whom you may recognize from TV series such
as "Dead Like Me"). Owner and Artistic Director of The William Davis
Centre for Actor’s Study, Christine also teaches at UBC and is on
the Executive Board of the Union of BC Performers/ACTRA.
