Experience History . . .
Ingleneuk on the East Bluff
Perched on the East Bluff of Mackinac Island, this historic cottage
takes you back to a bygone era where summer cottagers spent time on
the Island to enjoy its splendor, cool summer breezes, and old
acquaintances. Built in 1890 by Rev. Meade Williams and his family,
this cottage is a historic delight. He wrote a history of Mackinac in
1890 while sojourning at Ingleneuk.
From the front porch of this cttage, you will enjoy the “million
dollar view” of the harbor, Marquette Park, and the hustle and bustle
of downtown. Most spectacular, however, is the view of the Straits
of Mackinac with the ever-changing activity of ferry boats,
sailboats, and ocean freighters. Spend your time at Ingleneuk
Cottage sitting on the porch watching the world go by.
