and thousands of butterflies.  Bears and eagles are seen at times.

drive on new asphalt road.  No other homes visible from cottage.

There are 90 golf courses within 35 minutes of the cottage.  
Mackinaw Island is one hour away.  It is 5 minutes to Torch Lake 
(one of the most beautiful lakes in the world) and the Chain of 
Lakes (60 miles of connected waterway).  10 minutes east are two 4 
star restaurants (Tapawingos and the Rowe Inn) with world class wine 
cellars.  Great Cajun restaurant in Elk Rapids (Pearls) - 20 minutes 
away.  Great shopping in Traverse City (35 minutes), Charlevoix (10 
minutes) and Petoskey (25 minutes).  Indian casinos within 25 
minutes.  Great fishing, hunting and morel mushroom picking.  
Waterskiing, snow skiing, great beaches, boating (rentals available 
at Elk River Marine in Elk Rapids, MI), northern lights, Milky Way

August 15th.  Weekend rates $425 Friday-Sunday, $525 Thursday-
Sunday.  Weekly rates from $1,125.  June and August weeks are 
$1,600.  July weeks are $1,700.  Call for rates on holidays.  
Cottage will be available in 2006 for the Christmas/New Years 
period - call for rates.
