Description

|
For your Vacation our 1,050 sq.ft., Beach Front, Ground Floor,
Corner Condo may be what you're looking for. With so many
condos for you to choose from, this is my one chance to tell you
what I think sets ours apart from the others.
There aren't many condos right on the beach, where you can swim or
snorkel right in front during the summer or sit on the lanai and
watch the Humpback Whales leap out of the ocean during their winter
migration. When you walk in and see the view of the ocean from the
living room, you'll be delighted. When you go outside to the lanai,
the spectacular views of Maui's entire south coast, will take your
breath away. Every morning you can watch the sun come up over
Haleakala.
This lovely condo has a $2,600.00 "Sleep Numbers" king size bed,
remote controlled air conditioning, plush carpeting, designer
bedding,towels, wall mirrors, 6 decorator ceiling fans, (3)TVs, 2
DVD & VCR players, designer lamps, rugs, dishes, patio furniture for
6, beach chairs, wood window blinds. In late 2007 and in March of
2008, I was at the condo to do more upgrades and to replace worn and
damaged items. I installed beautiful new kitchen counter tops, a
safe for your valuables added "Free" Wireless & DSL High Speed
Internet, a new mattress for the Queen Sleeper sofa, new bedding and
sheets for the king, all new towels, new rugs, new children's games,
sand toys, movies, 3 boogie boards, new beach towels, an umbrella,
two wall-mounted hair dryers, a crib for infants, two new pillow-top
mattresses for the twin beds, and I repainted. I go often to keep
the condo updated and beautiful for my family and
my guests.
Our full size kitchen has everything: New counter tops, Cookware,
utensils, dishes, appliances including a large stove, side-by-side
fridge, icemaker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, toaster
oven, coffee griner, coffee maker and our own in-unit washer and
dryer.
The previous owner was in a wheelchair. He enlarged the doorways
and the master shower. He was also given permission to double the
size of the lanai to accommodate his wheelchair, plus tables and
chairs. It extends beyond the others, increasing our view even
further. It has two tables and six chairs instead of the normal
four. Large groups can all be together. The Condo is wheelchair
accessible. Handicap parking is right out our back door. Being a
convenient, ground floor unit, there are no stairs or elevators to
deal with.
Being on a Corner, we have no neighbors on one side, It is quieter,
more private and also has incredible views of the beach from the
lanai and the front master bedroom's large windows facing both sides
of the beach. Our second bedroom has views of the ocean, the
tropical grounds, and the pool. A corner condo is not like an
interior unit that shares two common walls. These have only one
window in their master and their second bedroom window opens to a
busy walkway or parking lot, allowing strangers to look in. They
must keep the blinds closed for privacy
Both bedrooms are 'traditional' rooms with solid walls and locking
doors, unlike 'loft' bedrooms that open to the space below, or
bedrooms that are completely open to the living room and close with
a flimsy folding wall, offering no privacy or insulation from noise.
In the master is a $2,600.00 King size "Sleep Numbers" adjustable
bed with dual remotes. Each side can be set to your desired firmness
or softness. Twin beds in the 2nd bedroom can be pushed together to
create another king size bed.The queen sleeper sofa in the living
room has a new mattress. The condo comfortable sleeps 6. The
master bath has an over sized (wheelchair accessible), tiled shower
with both a wall mounted and a hand held showerhead. The 2nd
bathroom has a full size tub, and a shower above. Each has a new
wall-mounted hair dryer and cooling ceiling fan.
Our complex is one of only three properties in Maalaea, that are
right on a beautiful sandy beach. The other seven are on a rocky
reef. Many have coin $$ operated laundry rooms (costs money and you
wait for your clothes). Two properties are right next to the busy
Maalaea Harbor with its traffic, boat engine noise, and fumes. One
complex doesn't have a pool and a few have distant parking lots
forcing you to carry your bags a long ways.
The Kanai A Nalu is considered one of the best properties in
Maalaea. Located almost at the end of a cul-de-sac, there is very
little traffic. There are beautiful tropical grounds, lush green
lawns, orchids, banana trees, a lovely free-form pool (heated in
winter), Gas BBQ's, a pool-side eating area, comfortable chaise
lounges and a beachside shower. Free parking is only steps away.
The drive from the Kahului airport is only 12 minutes on a modern
four-lane highway.
We are directly on Kealia beach. Beyond our property, it runs
parallel to a "Government Protected" wildlife refuge. No development
or buildings are allowed along this area. It becomes Sugar Beach and
runs all the way to Kihei. Take a morning walk, and you may not run
into another person. It's like your own private paradise. This is
the most un-crowded beach on Maui.

Attractions |

About 1/4 mile away (almost within walking distance) is an area
called the "Maalaea Village". There you will find seven great
restaurants from casual to 4-Star, and most have ocean or harbor
views. The charming "Harbor Shops" shopping complex features Hula
Girl's "fresh made" Cookies & Ice Cream, Master's Art gallery, Maui
Surf, Hawaiian Trading Company, Juice Stop, Island Soaps & Candles,
Grass Shack Gifts, Moonbow Tropics, Maui's T-Shirts ($4.99 & Up),
Aloha wear, The Coffee Shop, Hand Crafted Jewelry, and the Pacific
Whale Foundation. There is also the Maalaea Harbor (one of Maui's
main harbors) where boats leave on snorkeling, dinner and sunset
cruises. During winter they leave on hourly "Whale Watching" trips
out in Maalaea Bay. Next to the Harbor is the renowned Maui Ocean
Center, a world-class Hawaiian aquarium with a clear glass, walk
through "under water tunnel" allowing you to view sharks, manta rays
and beautiful tropical fish without getting wet. At the entrance to
Maalaea is Carl's Jr. (for a fast meal), a 76 gas station, the Maui
Golf and Sports Park for guests of all ages. It features two fun and
challenging miniature golf courses, a natural 4,000 sq. ft. lagoon
with water falls, bumper boats, water blaster guns, rock climbing
and an X-Treme Trampoline. We also have the Trade-Winds Mini Mart &
Deli. They have freshly made deli sandwiches and groceries, plus
they rent movies and snorkeling gear.
